Guiyang Lannigou Detention Center Brutally Persecutes Falun Gong Practitioners

1. The Guiyang Lannigou Detention Center has jailed many young adult Falun Gong practitioners. Among them, there were many college students such as Mr. Huang Lei, who was studying at Guizhou Industrial University.

This detention center closely coordinates its efforts with the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems], Guiyang police and detectives, and carries out Jiang's order to "eliminate Falun Dafa practitioners physically." Thus, they torture practitioners mentally and physically. Falun Gong practitioners Ma Tianjun and Hu Dali were tortured until they were disabled. Many other practitioners were beaten until they were seriously injured. Prison police officer Zheng Gang and others forced practitioners to step on Teacher's picture and burn Teacher's pictures in front of other practitioners' faces. When questioning young female Falun Gong practitioners, they yelled madly, "Let me show you what an evil policeman is like!" Because of their evil deeds, some new police officers that had just graduated from the academy were unable to stand it, and said, "How could they be police? They are criminals!"

2. Since Spring of 2003, the Guizhou "610 Office" has intensified its persecution of Falun Gong. In many instances practitioners have been sent to court; however, they received no trial, there were no lawyers, and their relatives and the general public weren't notified. Practitioners were sentenced illegally, some up to 15 years. At present, they are trying to detain more college student practitioners with groundless accusations.
