Dafa Practitioner Ms. Qiu Xiuzhen Is Kidnapped, Beaten and Has Home Ransacked

In the afternoon on August 15, 2003, the police from Pi County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, abducted Qiu Xiuzhen (about 60 years old), ransacked her house and beat her up. This occurred with the agreement of the police from Tongzikou Police Station, Jinniu District Public Security Sub-Bureau, City Public Security Bureau and the Provincial Public Security. Dirty gloves were forced in her mouth and her face was beaten to the point of being black and blue.

There was over 20,000 Yuan* stolen by police and officially became "lost." The police also took one tractor, one mini integrated machine, a portable copier, a new computer used for her grandson's study, a 5,000 Yuan deposit prepared for her children's education, and a 3,000 Yuan family deposit from her household. Qiu's pension was taken away by the corrupt authorities and she is being held in Chengdu Detention Center located in Anqing, Pi County.

Qiu's husband is also a Dafa practitioner who is over 60 years old. He is now going from place to place to avoid further persecution, unable to safely return home. In order to find him, the police threatened and harassed his friends and relatives.
