Reading Zhuan Falun Resolves Mysteries That Baffled Me for Years
(Clearwisdom.net) About twelve years ago a coworker told me a story. He watched a martial art performance, that is,
a Qigong match. The first prize winner demonstrated the following: He stacked ten red bricks, one on
top of the other, then touched the top brick gently with his hand. He then thought in his mind about
the brick that he wanted to break. Surprisingly, the particular brick he thought about broke, while
the other bricks remained unbroken. This puzzled me, so I searched for some references, but was unable to find a satisfactory
explanation. And for years there was no one who was able to clarify for me the rationale behind such
power. In 1998, I was fortunate to read Zhuan Falun and found that it unraveled why
such mysteries exist. In Lecture 3 of Zhuan Falun, in the discussion about Supernormal Abilities and Gong Potency, Master Li writes, "During the course of cultivation, what situations will emerge for a person? One can develop
some unusual and supernatural capabilities that, in short, we call supernormal abilities." In
Lecture 9 with respect to mind, "For a practitioner, one's mind-intent dictates supernormal
abilities to do things." The more one studies the Fa, the more unsolved mysteries make sense. For example, what does
humankind live for? Everyone confronts this matter, yet almost no one can give a clear answer. In
Lecture 1 of Zhuan Falun Master Li states, "One should return to one's original,
true self; this is the real purpose of being human." As another example: in philosophy, the following subject is discussed deeply, "Is material
primary or the spirit primary?" In Lecture 1 of Zhuan Falun Master Li writes, "Throughout history, the issue of whether matter determines mind or vice versa has been
constantly discussed and debated in the world of philosophy. In fact, let me tell everyone that
matter and mind are one thing. In scientific research of the human body, today's scientists hold
that a thought generated by the human brain is a substance. If it is something of material
existence, isn't it something of the human mind as well? Aren't they the same thing?" Many scientists have determined and validated through scientific means that matter and spirit are
connected. Japanese scientists played different music near water samples, and the water crystals
were formed in benign or non-benign states. When experimenting with two separate groups of cooked
rice, one was given the benign message "thanks," while the other was mistreated and
given the message "bad-egg." As a result, the one that received the benign message
was partly surrounded by fragrance, while the one given the negative message darkened completely,
smelled rotten, and became foul. It was thus confirmed that spirit and matter cannot be separated from each other. All matter has
mystical characteristics, and matter and spirit are an integral part of each other. Isn't it true that many practitioners on their cultivation paths have experienced that what
Teacher Li said in Zhuan Falun is definitely the most upright truth! The divine book Zhuan
Falun can unravel many unexplainable mysteries. 2003-9-3
