Persecution Suffered by Dafa Practitioner Ms. Luo Meng from Sichuan Province
By a practitioner from Chengdu City
September 5, 2003 (Clearwisdom.net) One day after July 20, 1999, [date that Falun Gong was
banned by the Jiang Regime] in Qiaotou Park, Guanghan City of Sichuan
Province, Dafa practitioner Ms. Luo Meng brought her baby of only 8 months to
take part in a group exercise. A policeman of Guanghan attempted to strike her
with his palm, but instead he missed and hit the baby's face. The baby was hit
so hard that he was not able to cry out until quite a while later. In July 2000, she took her baby to Beijing to appeal, and returned safely.
When she was clarifying the facts of the persecution in a town, she was reported
to the police who then forcefully took her away from her home in the middle of
the night. They detained her in a police station, handcuffed and hung her on a
tree, disregarding that she was still breastfeeding her baby. Her milk wet
through her clothes. On the following day, she was sent to the Guanghan
Detention Centre and was illegally detained there for 15 days and not permitted
to see or breastfeed her child. Her baby was thus suddenly forced to be weaned
since it was deprived of his mother's milk.
