Spain: Beautiful Scenes From the City of Tarragona (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) August the 15th is a holiday in Spain and this year it
fell on a Friday, so Spanish people had a long weekend. Dafa practitioners from
around Spain gathered at Tarragona to hold three days of group activities,
including group Fa study, experience sharing, Hong Fa [promoting Falun Gong],
and letting the Spanish people know the facts about the persecution.

from different areas of Spain practice the exercises and studied the Fa together
Tarragona is a small city on the Northeastern coast of Spain.
It is a famous scenic spot in the summertime and many tourists go there. Because
of this, it is a good place for spreading the Fa and clarifying the facts about
Falun Gong.
The spot practitioners chose for spreading the Fa in the city
centre was along a busy coastal road. Here there are various businesses,
restaurants and entertainment outlets. Throughout the day, there were endless
people coming and going. Practitioners sat down to send forth righteous
thoughts, before they hung up Dafa banners, displayed pictures and demonstrated
the exercises.
The beautiful music accompanying the peaceful and graceful
exercise movements, with the blue sky, the ocean, and the old buildings in the
background, created a bright and beautiful scene. Passers-by were soon
attracted. People stopped to watch and said: "Look! How beautiful it
is!" "How wonderful the music is!" Many people could not help but
imitate the exercise movements; others took photos with the exercise
demonstration as a background. Still others took the initiative to ask
practitioners for information and talk to those who were distributing materials.
When we introduced Falun Gong and explained the facts to
passers-by, quite a few people said, "'Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance
is very good. The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance!"
Many people asked if Tarragona had an exercise site. One lady even voluntarily
offered to provide a fitness centre run by her family as a place to practice the
exercises and study the Fa [the teachings of Falun Dafa].
When practitioners talked about the brutal persecution of
Dafa practitioners in China, people were astonished. They could not believe how
such a peaceful practice could be persecuted. One practitioner spoke to a
tourist from Madrid who said, "You don't have to say anymore. I already
know about the persecution in China. I work near the Chinese Embassy, and always
see your fellow practitioners sitting in meditation opposite the Embassy on my
way to work. I am touched by your fellow practitioners' persistent and dauntless
willpower. From this I am sure that you are righteous. I believe that you will
win the victory with your persistence." Before leaving, he said that when
he goes back to Madrid, he will learn how to practice the exercises.

A tourist from another area in Spain took more than twenty
copies of the materials that practitioners were handing out after hearing the
facts of the persecution. He said that he wanted to distribute them to his
friends and relatives after returning home.
During these activities, some Chinese people also passed by.
Two shy Chinese girls stopped to watch the exercise demonstrations. When one
Chinese practitioner prepared to give them Chinese truth-clarifying materials,
they walked away immediately. Apparently, they were avoiding us. The
practitioner caught up with them, gave them the materials, and clarified the
facts to them. They then thanked the practitioner and left. However, they came
back a short time later and asked for more materials out of their own
initiative. They again thanked practitioners.
We met another Chinese couple from Germany. When the
practitioners gave them the materials, they said, "We came from Germany. We
often see Falun Gong practitioners in Germany, and we have kept the flyers they
gave us. I am sorry for the persecution occurring in China. You keep this flyer,
and give it to people who still don't know the truth." The practitioner was
very moved when hearing this. Every one of us really sensed the mighty power of
Dafa. People's hearts are changing. More and more people understand the facts.
The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance!" Practitioners also encountered some disturbances during the
activity, but most of them were solved with righteous thoughts. For example,
when they went to the site of their appeal on the second day, there was a stage
was under construction at that spot. Some people wanted to hold a concert there
in the afternoon and they set up large amplifiers around the stage.
Practitioners knew that this would ruin their activity and many people could
miss their chance to find out the truth, so they kept righteous thoughts
throughout.
As a result, the concert had not begun when the
practitioners' activity finished at 9.30pm. People who originally wanted to join
the concert came to our Hong Fa site and learned more about Falun Dafa.
Practitioners' righteous thoughts turned a possible disturbance into a good
opportunity to spread the Fa. Through this experience, practitioners came to a
deeper understanding of the importance of sending forth righteous thoughts and
keeping a righteous mind.
During the two days, practitioners distributed almost 4000
flyers. Most people carefully read them and took them home.
Another thing that deserves to be mentioned is that some
practitioners who joined this activity were new practitioners. However, they
voluntarily and actively cooperated with everyone to participate in this
activity. Later, when practitioners shared experiences, they all said that they
greatly benefited from the activities, and now have a firmer resolution to
practice cultivation in Dafa. Meanwhile, everyone had a deeper understanding and
improved further in the three things that Dafa practitioners should do.
The three-day activity concluded well. This activity helped
more sentient beings to witness and understand the wonder and power of Dafa, and
recognize the evil nature of the brutal persecution that the Jiang regime has
imposed on Falun Gong practitioners in China.
