Falun Dafa practitioner Peng Min and his mother were tortured to death while being illegally detained in Wuhan City. Their deaths shocked everyone. To make matters worse, his family members are still in detention. Relative Peng Liang is still in jail, and Peng Yan suffered a lot in prison before she was released in March this year. She is still under 24-hour surveillance every day.

Due to the exposure and attention from the international community Peng Min's case received, the National Security Bureau issued an order to the Wuhan Women's Prison, that regardless of the means required, the Peng family must be transformed. Therefore, Political Director Han from the Women's Prison shamelessly asked Peng Yan to agree to become her adopted daughter in an attempt to pressure Peng Yan using false compassion and lies. She concealed the truth about the deaths of Peng Yan's brother and mother from her. In addition, she induced more than twenty policewomen and many prisoners to try and brainwash Peng Yan 24 hours a day. After one month of constant torture, and with the help of former practitioners who enlightened along an evil path under pressure, Peng Yan was considered "transformed." Afraid of being exposed, the National Security Bureau put Peng Yan under constant surveillance.

Yang Guixia was illegally arrested while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa on July 24, 2002. She was then illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor at the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center, where the medical staff tortured her until she became hypothermic and shook all over her body, and could no longer take care of herself. She was diagnosed as suffering from serious diseases. In spite of her problems, the Harbin Legal Bureau did not allow her to be released on medical bail with the excuse that her limbs still had some feeling.

Zhang Yuquan was reported to the authorities while distributing truth-clarifying materials in October of 2002. Police from the Yangziquan Police Substation in Panshan County illegally searched his home and arrested him. Subsequently, they sent him to the Panjin Forced Labor Camp. In May of 2003, Zhang was removed from the labor camp. In August, Zhang's family members received a notice from Nanshan Prison in Jinzhou City, informing them that Zhang Yuquan had been illegally and secretly sentenced to eight years in prison.

Ma Guifeng was illegally detained for fifteen days on July 20, 1999. In October of 1999, he was again detained for three months. Later, he was sentenced to one year of jail to be served two years later. Ma Guifeng left his home and became destitute and homeless to avoid the illegal persecution. In July 2002, he was arrested at a Dafa materials production site in Guangzhou City. After one year of detention in the Public Security Bureau of Jing County, he was sentenced to ten years in prison in July 2003. Details of his sentence need to be investigated.

Inside the Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp, all determined Falun Dafa practitioners are being held in solitary confinement. They are not allowed to sleep but are forced to watch videos and to read books defaming Falun Dafa. They are beaten up, force-fed and tortured by all means. Liu Shuqin, a female practitioner, was beaten until she had bruises all over her body. However, the police guard poured water on her body and kept shocking her with an electric prod. Yu Guizhen, another female practitioner, was shocked in her genitals with an electric prod until she lost bladder control. She wasn't able to function normally for several months after that. Zhang Huayun was beaten so brutally that her spine became distorted and she had difficulty walking. Wang Shuhua became mentally disoriented after being shocked with electric prods. Other practitioners are still facing tribulations and danger.

On September 10, 2003, the Party Secretary from the Oil Well Detecting Company lured Bai Yufu to his place of residence for a talk. Then the Party Secretary, the Assistant Director of the Security Section and over a dozen other people from the Oil Well Detecting Company forcibly arrested him and sent him to the Hongweixing Brainwashing Class.

On the morning of September 9, Falun Dafa practitioners Yao Qingyun and Liu Tonglin from Chengsan Village of Daqing City were illegally arrested. Our sources report that Yao Qingyun was asked to go to her work unit and never returned. Liu Tonglin was arrested at home. Their current whereabouts are unknown.

Yang Chunhua and Bo Suyan were publicly posting Falun Dafa flyers on July 25, 2003 when police from the Xietun Police Substation of Linghai City arrested them. Bo Suyan's family members won her release by posting 20,000 Yuan in bail money. But Yang Chunhua was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp 15 days later.

Police from the Jizhong Prison separated Falun Dafa practitioners into different groups within the No. 4 Team. Practitioners are subjected to forcible brainwashing, which was ordered by higher-level authorities. The prison also sent letters to practitioners' family members, asking them to show concern about the practitioners. In fact, the prison attempts to win the cooperation from practitioners' family members in order to prevent practitioners from practicing Falun Dafa.

Liu Guiyuan, a 45-year-old practitioner from Huanggu District of Shenyang City, was denounced while clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa to people on her business trip to Dandong about twenty days ago. She is currently being detained in Dandong. More information about her status is needed.

Starting on July 20, 1999 to the end of 2002, the Shihe Police Substation from Shihe Town detained twenty Falun Dafa practitioners and illegally sentenced six practitioners to a forced labor camp. One of the practitioners was detained for half a month. Ten days after he was released, he was arrested for the second time, and then three more times. Eventually he was sent to a forced labor camp. As a result, this practitioner's business failed. By the end of this period, the police station had extorted a total of about 60,000 Yuan from practitioners.

We recently learned that many Falun Dafa practitioners are being detained in the Wucheng Detention Center, including Ms. Zhang Xiuxia, Ms. Li Xiuyun, Ms. Dong Fenghong, Ms. Zhu Meiju, Ms. Wang Weifang, Mrs. Xu, Mr. Shi Chongshen, Ms. Sun Aiqing and Ms. Liu Chunqing.

During my stay in Yangyuan, I witnessed how Falun Dafa practitioners were persecuted. Instructed by staff of the brainwashing class, those who enlightened along an evil path under pressure took turns torturing practitioners physically and spiritually, day and night. If practitioners refused to give up their belief, they would not allow them to sleep. They placed practitioners in solitary confinement, suspended them with handcuffs, or put them in the scorching sun for several days. A female practitioner from the Hewan Forced Labor Camp was forced to stand upright outdoors for two days and nights until her feet were too swollen for shoes. Subsequently, she was placed in solitary confinement and suspended in a painful position with handcuffs. She was also forced to run for a long time. Some practitioners succumbed to the torture and wrote a statement renouncing Falun Gong. Even so, they were not allowed to go back home. Instead, they were forced to watch videos full of lies and were brainwashed. During the SARS epidemic, a male practitioner was also suspended in a painful position with handcuffs for a long time and a big piece of skin tore off his hand. Still they kept torturing and handcuffing him.

On the afternoon of July 14, practitioner Yangcai was working in her field. She was deceived into leaving the field and sent to the Yuanchun Police Substation in Nanle County. Later on she was sent to the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City on July 15.
