Ms. Guo Yanqiu, 27, is a Dafa practitioner in Zhamu Village, East Huajichang Town, Linhai City, Liaoning Province. She is a nurse in the Mining Bureau Hospital, Nanpiao District, Huludao City, Liaoning Province. On around August 13, 2003, police took her away while she was at work. She is currently imprisoned in the Huludao City Detention Center.

On the morning of August 8, 2003, the Xuanhua District police took Ms. Zhao Yizhen from her home. At the time, Ms. Zhao Yizhen, who had been sleeping, was only wearing her nightclothes. She requested that she be allowed to get dressed before leaving, but police refused her request. Ms. Zhao Yizhen wanted to give hr neighbor the key to her home so it could be given to her younger brother later, but a police officer swore at her and then snatched the key out of her hands. Currently Ms. Zhao Yizhen is being held in the Xuanhua Detention Center. The police arrested her husband Zhang Zhanyuan on October 12, 2002, and imprisoned him in the Xuanhua Detention Center. He is still being detained there. His term exceeds the length of time a person can legally be detained.

At the beginning of August, Yu Yong, Director of the Yongqing County "610 Office" (mobile phone: 86-13313269994) and Zhang Zhenqing, Section Chief of the Public Security Bureau First Branch entered Dafa practitioners' homes, seized 5 Dafa practitioners, and sent them to forced labor camps without a warrant or charging them with any wrongdoing.

On around July 20, a new round of persecution against Dafa practitioners started in several counties in the Liaocheng area. Dafa practitioners were harassed while in their homes. Slogans that slandered Dafa were painted onto a lot of walls or open places in many counties and towns.

[Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province] Several Dafa practitioners were arrested in Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province

Recently, several Dafa practitioners in Wangkui County were taken away. Among the arrested were Ms. Wang Xiaofen, her sister Yang, Xiao Juan, Xiao Song, and Ma Wenping.

Police destroyed a Dafa materials center in Yichun County, and Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Dongning was taken away.
