Voice of America: A Falun Gong Practitioner in Australia Will File a Lawsuit Against Jiang Zemin
(Clearwisdom.net) On August 29, 2003 Voice of America reported that a
Falun Gong practitioner in Australia, Zhang Cuiying would file a lawsuit in the
United Nations against Jiang's regime for the persecution she suffered in China.
The lawyer representing Zhang Cuiying said that the lawsuit would go to the
Committee on Human Rights in the United Nations. Meanwhile, they would also file
a lawsuit with the International Court. Ms. Cuiying said that she was arrested
three years ago in China and suffered from torture and persecution at the hands
of the Chinese government. Jiang's regime banned Falun Gong in 1999 and labeled
it a [slanderous term omitted]. Various human rights organizations have
documented the illegal arrests, torture, and killing of Falun Gong practitioners
in an attempt to eradicate the spiritual practice.
