Germany: Dafa Practitioners Appeal Outside the Chinese Consulate to End the Persecution and Mourn the Death of Liu Chengjun (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net, January 12, 2004) On December 31, the last day of 2003, heavy snow blanketed Munich. Falun Dafa practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate to mourn the death of Changchun practitioner Mr. Liu Chengjun. Practitioners called on the authorities to punish Jiang Zemin and the murderers who are responsible for the death of Liu Chengjun, and to further expose the brutal persecution that Jiang and his regime have been inflicting upon Falun Gong practitioners.

In Changchun, Falun Gong practitioners successfully tapped into cable TV to show a video revealing the truth about Falun Gong and the human rights abuses against practitioners in China. As a result of this, many people learned about the propaganda and persecution against Falun Gong. This led to Jiang Zemin issuing a secret order to "kill" Falun Gong practitioners "without mercy." More than five thousand Falun Gong practitioners in Changchun were arrested. Among them, at least eight people were tortured to death.

There are more than one hundred people who practice Falun Dafa illegally imprisoned in Jilin Prison. They went on hunger strike in late October 2003 to protest against the persecution. However, no updated information is currently available. According to a report published on a Falun Dafa website on December 28, 2003, Liu Chengjun died in the Sino-Japanese Friendship Hospital in Jilin University on December 26, 2003. Before his death, he had been cruelly tortured for a year and nine months. Despite the objection of Liu's family, they cremated Liu's body without conducting an autopsy. Witnesses said that blood could be seen on Liu's nose, ears and thighs.

Forty Falun Gong practitioners have filed a lawsuit in the German Supreme Court against Jiang, accusing him of genocide as well as crimes against humanity, torture and murder. The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong has issued an urgent announcement to investigate Liu's case. The net of justice is vast. All of the murderers responsible for the death of Liu Chengjun will be brought to justice. Jiang Zemin and his followers who have persecuted Falun Gong will be severely punished by history.
