2004 Taiwan Falun Dafa Cultivation Experience Sharing Conference (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On January 10-11, 2004, more than 6,000 Falun Gong practitioners from across Taiwan and countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific regions held a two-day cultivation experience sharing conference and a series of other activities in Taipei.

As Falun Gong has been very popular in Taiwan, the Taiwan government and different political parties also affirmed Falun Gong's tremendous effect on purifying people's minds, and improving Taiwanese people's health. The Taiwanese President Chen Shui-pian, Vice President Lu Hsiu-lien, Chairman of Kuomintang Lien Chan, Taipei City mayor Ma Ying-cheo, all sent congratulatory messages to extend their best regards to Falun Gong practitioners around the world. The Chairman of Taiwan Solidarity Union Huang Chu-wen, came in person to give a speech.

The Taiwan Falun Dafa Association expressed that since 1999, they have held a cultivation experience sharing conference each year. Other than practitioners, quite a few non-practitioners attended the conference and listened to Dafa practitioners' cultivation experiences. They benefited a lot, and many people began practicing Falun Dafa afterwards.

Master once came to Taiwan in 1997, and gave lectures in Taipei and Taizhong respectively. Nearly 1,000 people listened to Master's lectures, and many people began practicing Falun Dafa since then. Falun Gong has been wide spread in Taiwan for seven years. There have been nearly 1,000 practice sites across Taiwan. It is estimated that the number of practitioners has increased to more than 300,000.

During this conference, there were a series of activities. At 9:30 a.m. on January 10, more than 3,000 practitioners performed five sets of the exercises, formed Chinese characters "Falun Dafa is Great," and had photos taken in the sports field at the National Taiwan University. The activity was not only to display to the public the benefit of Falun Gong to people's physical and mental health, but also to send New Year's greetings to Master.

At noon, practitioners went to the Chien-Tan Youth Activity Center in Taipei to continue their exchange activity. In the afternoon, during the group exchange session, practitioners had a thorough discussion regarding the three things that Fa-rectification Dafa practitioners should do well: study the Fa well, explain the truth and send righteous thoughts. At 7:00 p.m., practitioners were divided into small groups to exchange their experiences.

On January 11, the cultivation experience sharing conference was held at the Taipei International Conference Center for a day. Attending practitioners came from across Taiwan, and other countries and regions including America, Hong Kong, Macao, Saipan Island, Guam Island, Singapore, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Germany, Peru and Ireland. There were also some non-practitioners who wanted to learn about Falun Gong.

More than 6,000 people attended the conference. The main hall of the International Conference Center can only accommodate 3,000 people, so the sponsor arranged three more halls to accommodate all practitioners and guests.

About 20 Falun Gong practitioners shared their cultivation experiences at the conference. They reported how practicing Falun Gong has improved their health, both physically and mentally. They also shared how to appeal to different social strata and governments of different countries to stop Jiang regime's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.

A practitioner from Chiayi told of his story that his 4^th-stage of hepatocirrhosis was cured after practicing Falun Gong. He choked with sobs and was speechless for quite a time. Upon hearing his reborn due to practicing Falun Gong, many people were moved and their eyes glazed with tears. The audience gave him warm applause to express their encouragement.

During the conference, the National Chinese Orchestra performed two Dafa music pieces "Pu Du" and "Ji Shi." Beautiful music permeated the whole conference site. The atmosphere was peaceful and harmonious.

The sponsor especially arranged simultaneous translation of practitioners' speeches in Taiwan dialect, English and Korean so that practitioners who don't know Chinese could learn the contents of their speeches.

The two-day activity concluded at dusk on January 11.
