Sweden: Saluting a Hero - Practitioners In Malmo Hold Activities to Mourn the Death of Jilin Practitioner Liu Chengjun


(Clearwisdom.net, January 11, 2004) On the afternoon of January the 2nd, Falun Gong practitioners in Malm went to Gustav Square to mourn and pay their respects to Liu Chengjun, a practitioner from Jilin who was persecuted to death by evil policemen in China.

He was arrested and jailed because he interrupted TV broadcasts to clarify the facts to the Chinese people. After he had been cruelly tortured for almost 2 years, he passed away. Though he is dead, his heroic spirit will live on forever, as will the belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Practitioners in Malmo saluted this hero, who broke through the media blockade in China to clarify the facts, and who sacrificed his life for others.

The banners, pictures, and candles to mourn this hero attracted the attention of many passers-by. Many people received flyers, asked questions, and signed their names on the signature petition form. They were angry at what happened to Liu Chengjun and could not understand why a government would persecute innocent people.

The truth cannot be oppressed. A system of belief cannot be controlled by political power. History will remember this forever. Righteous people will finally bring the evil people to justice.
