Doctor in Residence at Beijing's Xiyuan Hospital Is Sentenced to 9 Years Prison for Practicing Falun Gong


(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Aijun was a doctor of internal medicine in residence at the Xiyuan Hospital of Beijing. After taking up the practice of Falun Gong, she became a healthy person. She strictly follows "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" and has become a well-respected physician.

However, because she firmly practices and appealed for Falun Gong, she was forced to leave her position. In order to avoid further persecution, she had to become homeless for over a year. Later she was seized by police and illegally sentenced to 2 years of forced labor. During detention, and under the barbaric persecution, she once deviated from Dafa and became "transformed." However, just several days before her release, she realized that cultivators should walk a righteous path and cannot give in to the evil. Therefore she announced that she would still cultivate Dafa.

The labor camp had wanted to use her as a model to show off their skill in transforming practitioners. After their attempt failed, they sentenced her to 9 years in prison. She is currently detained at the Women's Prison in Beijing. While in prison, she has been humiliated and tortured, in addition to being forced to labor many hours a day.

At home, Dr. Li's 70-year-old parents, school age children and 90-year-old paralyzed grandmother are left uncared for.
