A Retired Party Member Acknowledges the Value of Falun Gong

I am a retired Communist Party member and I don't practice Falun Gong. Yet, I would like to take this chance to speak up for Falun Gong from the bottom of my heart.

This afternoon, I went out on an errand. Suddenly I saw two men and one woman jumping from a car to arrest a woman who was on the way to pick up her child from school. Everybody was talking about this arrest happening in broad daylight. I also went to have a closer look out of curiosity. I was surprised to find out that the woman was not a bad person, but Du Yifeng from the Yinan wine factory, a Falun Gong practitioner. I knew that she is a good person. Oh, I understood. So that's why they are being mistreated: they are a group of good persons who believe in Zhen, Shan, Ren.

I went back home in indignation. My daughter told me another strange story: An elderly person in Yangdu district saw two men prying open a door and reported them to the police immediately. After a while a police car drove up, but without sounding its siren. They apprehended the thieves, but when the thieves took money from their pockets and offered it to them, they were released. When I heard this, I got very angry. Society has become so corrupt, the factories in the county are broke, and the laid-off workers don't have enough to eat and are forced to become street vendors. Bad news is spreading everywhere; today it's murder, and tomorrow plunder. The police leave the true crimes unsolved but focus on attacking Falun Gong practitioners. Has everybody gone insane?

I am an old Party member of many years' standing and I understand very well the corruption within the Party. It is all about trading power for money, prostitution, gambling, and corruption. Who even cares about the laid-off workers anymore?

I don't practice Falun Gong myself, but I know some practitioners. Not only are they in good health, but also they are good people, and we should really learn from them. They return extra change when they make a purchase, and help others who are in difficulties. Where else would you find such good people?

Some days ago, a disabled, demobilized soldier named Zhang was in the hospital. He was in a wheelchair when he came back from the frontier. Since he started to practice Falun Gong, his health improved and he was able to take care of himself. He borrowed money and opened a copy store. Because he was moved and wanted to tell everybody that Dafa is good, he produced some flyers that said "Falun Dafa is good" on them. He suffered the same fate; Jiang Zemin's minions seized him. Many such brutal facts are being spread through flyers and read by people in the street. Falun Gong tells us that the world needs Zhen, Shan, Ren, and learn how to become good persons!

I can tell good from evil. I will tell my friends, and colleagues from the bottom of my heart: "Don't do these wicked things that are not permitted by heavenly principles. Please, reject those thugs with blood-stained hands."
