(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Mr. Xuan Chengxi, 61 years old, was a farmer in Weicheng District, Weifang City, Shandong Province. The fact that he was beaten to death in October 2001 by Weifang City "610 Office" and lawless policemen astonished local villagers.

Xuan Chengxi lived in Guandongxia Town in north Weicheng District of Weifang City. He was part of a household of six. Because of chronic overwork, Mr. Xuan had suffered from multiple health problems. He had back pain, stomach aches, and other illnesses. He tried many remedies, but none was effective. In 1996, Mr. Xuan started to practice Falun Dafa after it was introduced to him by a friend. He strictly followed Teacher's guidance to discipline himself. Within one year, the back pain and stomach problems were cured, and the other illnesses disappeared, too. He was full of energy, and his recovery brought harmony to his whole family. They all felt lucky to have attained the Fa. It was Dafa that gave this family renewed energy and happiness. Mr. Xuan thus became even more steadfast in his belief of Teacher and Dafa.

On July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin began to persecute Falun Gong. Jiang's regime fabricated rumors to frame Falun Gong, and brutally tortured and imprisoned Falun Gong practitioners. Mr. Xuan, who had benefited mentally, physically and spiritually from Dafa, stood up bravely and called for justice for Falun Gong.

On October 30, 2001, Wei Yongcai, the party secretary from Hewan District, led a group of policemen from Weicheng Police Department and forcefully took Mr. Xuan to the Yuhe Town Government. The personnel of the "610 Office" asked him whether he still practiced Falun Gong. He truthfully answered that he did. The policemen asked where he had received truth clarifying materials. He refused to answer. The lawless policemen were enraged and brutally beat Mr. Xuan repeatedly. Wang Xinmin and Zhu Yongjun poured cold water on Mr. Xuan after beating him. When he awoke from unconsciousness, they beat him again. They continuously beat him until they killed him. When Mr. Xuan died, he was face down, lying on the cement floor covered with muddy water and blood.

After Mr. Xuan Chengxi died, the officials of the "610 Office" sent his body to the hospital and then lied to his family, saying that Mr. Xuan had died from a heart attack. Meanwhile, they falsely accused him of "colluding with the overseas influence and intending to overthrow the government."

Jiang's regime and its goons persecute kind-hearted people and have no regard for human life. What they have done has caused tremendous suffering for Mr. Xuan's family. It is a clear example of the Jiang regime's brutality and trampling of basic human rights.

The murderers were Wang Xinmin and Chu Yongjun.
