Los Angeles, CA: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Candlelight Vigil to Support Lawsuit against Jiang Zemin (Photo)
(Clearwisdom.net) On January 20, 2004, the U.S. Court of Appeals for
the 7th Circuit accepted the appeals of Falun Gong practitioners on the lawsuit
against Jiang Zemin. In the evening, Los Angeles practitioners held a candlelight vigil in front
of the Chinese Consulate and sent forth righteous thoughts to support the
lawsuit against Jiang. The Jiang regime's brutal persecution of Falun Gong over the last four years
has resulted in the documented deaths of more than 860 Falun Gong practitioners.
On December 30, 2003, Falun Gong practitioner Tang Meijun from Chongqing City
was tortured to death in Maojiashan Labor Camp. Facing brutal persecution, Falun
Gong practitioners have maintained their peaceful protest. They have filed
lawsuits, charging Jiang Zemin with the crimes of torture, genocide, and crimes
against humanity to bring him to justice for the persecution of Falun Gong.
