Zhang Baoshi's Second Term in Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp Is Extended Because He Refuses To Renounce His Belief in Falun Dafa (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Zhang Baoshi is a worker from the fifth unit in the Jincheng Paper Co. Ltd. After Jiang Zemin's persecution of Falun Gong began, Zhang Baoshi was illegally detained in the labor camp for over one year and released in April 2001 for clarifying the truth to the government. Before Chinese National Day, the police went to Zhang Baoshi's home to arrest him but didn't succeed.

On the afternoon of October 2001, three security guards from the company rushed to the fifth unit and abruptly took away Zhang Baoshi. They took him to a detention center nearby in Linghai City. On December 27, 2001, Zhang Baoshi was sentenced to the Jinzhou Labor Camp for two years.

Zhang Baoshi and Li Yong from Jincheng were both tortured by the police by having their hands pulled over one shoulder and cuffed to the other hand coming up from the back. They were then shocked with electric batons over their entire body and forced to watch videotapes defaming Dafa. Because they didn't give up, the police cuffed their hands and feet to steel chairs and shocked them with several electric batons at the same time. Zhang Baoshi was shocked by the police with four high-voltage electric batons and not allowed to sleep for four days and nights. Zhang Baoshi's body and facial features became disfigured from the torture and his body had a burning smell. However, Zhang Baoshi remains firm in Dafa cultivation.

Jinzhou Labor Camp willfully extended the labor sentence of these firm Dafa practitioners, and relentlessly tortured them. Shi Zhongyan, a worker from the Jinzhou Supermarket, was to be released from the labor camp in 2000, but his term was extended again and again because he refused to renounce his belief in Falun Dafa. He died as a result of the persecution on April 26, 2003. Wang Yuquan, from Jinzhou Heavy Machinery Plant, completed three years of forced labor on July 23, 2003. Wang's wife called the Jinzhou Labor Camp numerous times about his release. Feng Zibin, an instructor from the brainwashing team, said that Wang Yuquan's term had been extended.

On December 27, 2003 Zhang Baoshi will complete a term of two years of forced labor that had been extended illegally. We are closely watching for and awaiting Zhang Baoshi's release so that he could be reunited with his family.
