The Shameless Behavior of the Police who Persecute Falun Dafa Practitioners in Daqing City

1. The "Crime" of teaching people to be good

I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. I live in Daqing City. After reading the book Zhuan Falun, I realized how to become a good person at a higher level, how to achieve good health, and how to understand the true purpose of being a human and living one's life. Through Falun Dafa, most of the residents in my village have also started their cultivation journey, becoming good people who practice Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.

Since July 20, 1999, lies have been spreading like waves and everything has been turned upside down. The bloody persecution by the Jiang regime began in Mainland China. A great tribulation aimed at destroying mankind's moral foundation, which determines their very survival, has begun. The terror of Jiang has reached every corner of Daqing City. Zhaozhou County in Daqing City is no exception, and a severe inhuman persecution is waiting for those who began their cultivation just to become better people.

On July 24, 1999, in broad daylight, the vice director of the Chaoyang Village Police Station, Xing Deyou, broke into my home with the leaders of the village. They took my Falun Gong books and my handwritten notebooks by force, and threatened me, telling me not to practice Falun Gong any more. That night, after 1 a.m., both the director and the vice director of the police station, together with the village party chief, once again broke into my home and abducted me and another practitioner, Yang Shuqing, and brought us to the police station. They tried to force us into giving up Falun Gong and didn't release us until after 2 p.m. the next day.

On January 18, 2000 (Chinese lunar calendar), the head of the village, Ma Jinfang, and the director of the police station rounded us practitioners up, and demanded that we write an affidavit renouncing Falun Gong. Practitioner Ma Hui refused to write such an affidavit. Ma Jinfang slapped Ma Hui's face twice and threatened him. They asked me to write it and I said, "I don't want to lie to you; I will continue practicing Falun Gong, and I will not write this affidavit." The village head then said, "Jiang Zemin doesn't allow you to practice Falun Gong." I said, "I don't practice Falun Gong for him. Besides, how on earth would you not allow people to cultivate Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance?" Later on I was handcuffed and taken to the village police station.

At the police station, the policemen used a lot of profanity. I was forced to write something that dishonored Teacher and Falun Dafa. After returning home, the village leaders said, "Just write up something false so they don't bother you anymore."

In order to make up for my mistakes, which dishonored Teacher and Dafa, I went to the provincial capital city to legally appeal for Falun Gong. I wanted to tell them that Falun Dafa is good, and that they shouldn't be fooled by lies. On my way I was intercepted by the police. The head of the village police station, Gao You, and his staff slapped my face and asked me whether I would practice Falun Gong. I said to them without any intention to compromise, that practicing Falun Gong is no crime and that I would continue my cultivation and appeal for Falun Gong until everybody knows that Falun Gong is good.

Then they hit practitioners Liang Jingli and Ma Hui, causing them to become disoriented. Gao You then insulted me and the other practitioners. He said to me, "I will send for the two retarded guys in Xiangyang Village to rape you." He also said, "Never mind being a good person according to truthfulness, compassion and tolerance, why don't you sell your body?" He even said, "Raping someone's wife is a good skill -- I don't care, do whatever you want to do as long as you don't practice Falun Gong." How outrageous for the head of a police station to behave this way! He is a complete scoundrel! This is the behavior of the director of a police station in Daqing City!

There was no escape even for those practitioners who chose to practice quietly at home. All the practitioners were rounded up together for detention. One of the village leaders, Luu Chuanguo, sent for two villains from Chaoyang Village to sexually abuse Li Fengzhen. In detention, both the male and female practitioners had to live on the same wet floor. We were constantly monitored and were not allowed to close our eyes. Luu also forced practitioners to do the fertilizing work and other heavy work on his farm. Before any practitioners were released, they had to get a bond from someone they trusted. The bond would have to be someone's house in order to satisfy the corrupt police.

While inside the detention center, we were forced to undergo brainwashing and to pay for classes run by people from the various government organizations such as the police department, the public security bureau, the prosecutor's office, the court staff, and people from the propaganda department. Every practitioner was surrounded by three of these people. They barraged us with materials that slandered Dafa and tried to force us to swear at Teacher or Dafa. If someone didn't comply, he or she would be punished by having to run a long distance, or be sent to a military style camp or subjected to other torture. Even older women in their 60s or 70s were not exempt from this abuse. If a Dafa practitioner upheld his belief in Dafa, he would be sentenced to a forced labor camp or a prison, the longest term being four years.

These are the evil deeds being committed by the police under the Jiang regime. They take our tax money, yet they persecute good citizens with no mercy -- citizens who only want to be good people. However, Falun Dafa practitioners have no regrets nor do we harbor any hatred; we only want people to know the truth about Falun Gong and the facts of the persecution.
