An Entire Family of Dafa Practitioners Is Sent to Labor Camps in Sichuan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Chen Zhirong, around age 55, was head of the Chengdu rental company of Sichuan province. In January 2002, while handing out informational materials clarifying the truth about Falun Gong, his whole family of three was arrested by the police. The police ransacked his home while searching for more materials. During detention, Cheng Zhirong was subjected to all kinds of torture methods, such as being suspended in the air for long periods of time, being beaten, being locked in an iron box, being forced to sit on the "tiger bench" [a small bench on which one is forced to sit/squat for long periods without moving] and so on. During this time, in order to resist the persecution, Chen went on hunger strike for more than 40 days. He was later sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. Even though he was very weak, he was brought back to the detention center, and forced to do heavy labor without sufficient food. He has experienced this kind of non-stop persecution for 10 months in the Chengdu City Detention Center, yet, it has never shaken Chen Zhirong's righteous faith in Dafa.

In November 2002, Chen Zhirong was unjustly sentenced to four years of labor camp, and was sent to the Yaan Mechanical Labor Camp of Sichuan Province. His situation is unknown after that point. According to information obtained in September 2003, Chen was still detained, but wasn't doing any work. A few "transforming assistants" tortured him psychologically and tried to brainwash him.

Chen Zhirong's wife was unjustly sentenced to two years of labor camp in the Lanmu Labor Camp, and was released in August 2003. Their son has often been ill since he was young, and is also mentally disabled. The elementary school expelled their son in the third grade. He is now in his 20s, but still can't make a living. Even a disabled person has been victimized by this persecution. He was sentenced to two years of labor camp in the Sichuan Xinhua Labor Camp, and has suffered for the past two years because of this persecution.
