By a Falun Dafa practitioner in Wuhan, Hubei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) From the time the persecution of Falun Gong began in China on July 20, 1999, many of my coworkers have come to my office to tell me how they have benefited both in mind and body from cultivating Falun Dafa. They told me that the authorities broadcast lies in their propaganda. I said a few words in support of Falun Gong and told them, "Lend me your Zhuan Falun (1) for me to read." After I said that, I became scared. I wanted to take back my words but I didn't say so out loud. I just told myself, "If I have a karmic relationship, then I will get this book. If I don't have a karmic relationship, so be it."

In May 2000, a fellow practitioner got me a copy of Zhuan Falun in spite of the risk. As soon as I opened the book, it grabbed my attention. I had been to many places looking for the true meaning of life and the origin of life. I had wondered what exactly the world was about. But I had never been able to answer these questions. As soon as I finished reading Zhuan Falun, I knew Teacher had given me the answers I had always been looking for. My thinking truly climbed higher, and my view of the world changed.

In the first half of 2001, I had a health examination at my work place. I was surprised to find out that the fibroid tumors in my breasts that had bothered me for many years had disappeared. I didn't believe it at first, but the medical examination indeed showed that they were no longer there. Although I had read Zhuan Falun, I hadn't even started to practice the exercises yet. I was so moved that I burst into tears.

With the constant help of fellow practitioners, my understanding of Falun Dafa gradually grew deeper. I also learned the five sets of exercises. I went through quite a few tests, since I was coming from a mindset of seeking more knowledge at first, to learning to understand the Fa [great law, universal principle] from within the Fa, and eventually stepping forward to clarify the truth of the persecution. My cultivation environment became better and better. I still haven't done very well in clarifying the truth of the persecution to people because of my fear. When I was not diligent, Teacher hinted to me in a dream,

"The Dafa disciples
ascend to the heights of the heavens
In control of Heaven and Earth, rectifying the human realm"

("The Foretelling")

I then realized that I was a Falun Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period.

In another dream, there was a big bus. Many Falun Dafa disciples got on the bus to listen to Teacher's lecture. I saw Teacher sitting on the bus and waiting for disciples. I hurried to him and asked, "Teacher, could you please wait for my daughter? I don't know where she went." (I was strongly attached to her with the sentimentality of a parent) Teacher said, "OK." But we waited for a long time and she still didn't show up. The bus was full, and people were still squeezing into the bus. Teacher said to me again, "Come in." I asked Teacher again, "Could you wait a little longer, please?" Teacher smiled and said, "OK." After I woke up the next morning, my daughter asked me for Zhuan Falun. It was Teacher's mercy that saved another life. Every time I recall this, I can't help crying silently. It comes from my understanding side that knows how much Teacher has given me. With all the words in the world, I am still not able to describe my gratitude to Teacher. It's a debt that I could not possibly pay back even with my countless lifetimes.

When I first started to cultivate, some practitioners said to me, "You are great. It's not easy to be able to learn Falun Dafa in such an environment where people are being persecuted for refusing to give up the practice." I felt complacent. But now I say I was able to learn Falun Dafa because of Teacher's mercy. Teacher gave the Fa to me only because I said a few words in support of Falun Gong, and he gave me the answers to all my questions. Only when I advance more diligently will Teacher, who mercifully and laboriously saved me, be pleased to see me, and I will deserve to be called a Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period.

(1) Zhuan Falun is the book containing the main teachings of Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa).
