Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Huang Wei has been staging a hunger strike since August 28, 2004 to protest the forced labor he had been sentenced to. To date, over 20 days have passed. Huang Wei's life is now in peril. Huang Wei, in his 30's, has a six-year-old child. His wife Hao Qiuyan has been missing since right after he was arrested. Their six-year-old child lost parental care and is now living with a relative.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Lijun has been held at the Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp, Zhengzhou City several times. Due to the cruel torture she suffered in the camp, she became so weak that the police there had to remove her for hospitalization. On September 7, 2004, Chen Lijun managed to escape with the power of her righteous thoughts. Right now, police are secretly hunting her down. Chen Lijun became extremely emaciated and weak from torture in the forced labor camp. She became so thin that her face is hardly recognizable. She is on the brink of death, in a coma and unable to control her bowels and bladder.

Falun Dafa practitioner Zheng Guomin was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment. He appealed to Changchun City's Intermediate Court, but the court rejected his appeal and upheld the original sentence. By the end of September 2004, personnel from the Intermediate Court personally went to Nong'an County to announce the verdict of eight years of imprisonment for Zheng Guomin.

Around September 21, 2004, personnel from the "610 Office" forcibly arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Song Guozhen at her home in Haizhu District. Her whereabouts are as yet unknown. It was reported that Wang Zhongcheng, a former Falun Dafa volunteer assistant for the Haizhu District, was also recently arrested and detained.

All practitioners who are unlawfully held in Baoding City's Forced Labor Camp went on hunger strikes to protest the illegal arrest and savage torture. They are demanding unconditional release. Practitioners Zhi Zhanmin, Liu Hui and Han Zhanlu have been severely tortured.

Someone reported senior practitioner Ms. Liang Jinhua when she was distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Personnel from the Wusi Road Police Precinct arrested her. She is being held in Baoding City's Detention Center.

Practitioner Li Shangchao, 35 years old, is from Santaizi Town, Linghai City, Liaoning Province. On July 15, 2004, personnel from Linghai City's National Security Section and five people from the Santaizi Police Precinct put Li Shangchang into Jinzhou City's Forced Labor Camp. Now there is no one to take care of Li's fruit trees and crops.

On the afternoon of September 22, 2004, practitioner He Juying from Nanbu County, Sichuan Province was sent to Nancong City's Brainwashing Center.

When practitioner Li Ping from Xianning City, Hubei Province was distributing truth-clarification materials at the Wushangfan gate in Xianning City on September 14, police chief Chen drove by in his car. Li Ping handed some truth-clarifying material to him and Chen arrested Li Ping. Now Li Ping is being held at Xian'an District's No.1 Detention Center. Detailed information is unavailable.

At the end of August, practitioner Zhang Jian, a teacher of the Chengguan Middle School in Xianning City, was arrested and sent to Wuhan City's Brainwashing Center.

Practitioner Ms. Chen Weihong from Xianning City was arrested in Shanghai when working there as housemaid. She also clarified the truth and for that was sent back to Xianning City. In August she was sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Practitioner Ji Hongbo from Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province has been detained many times, but he walked out of detention with the power of his righteous thoughts each time. Recently, he was arrested again after someone reported him to police when he was clarifying the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong on a public bus.

On September 16, personnel from the Dadong District Police Office arrested practitioner Ms. Xiao Lixin, 42 years old, who was living at Heping District in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province.

On the morning of September 19, police ransacked practitioner Ms. Liu Zonglan's home at 80 Wenhua Road, Dongling District, Shenyang City. The detailed information is unknown. The officers were likely from the Heping Police Office.

On September 21, practitioner Ms. Li Yuehua, a retired teacher from Beijing No. 20 Middle School near the Qinghe Area, was arrested when she was distributing cards with Falun Gong truth-clarifying information.

On the morning of September 21, 2004, some officers from the Maoming Brainwashing Center, Guangdong Province and some collaborators (1), in collusion with the personnel from the city's "610 Office," ransacked practitioner Ms. Liu Chunzhen's home. They found a Dafa book and some Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Then they threatened Liu's husband to get him to reveal Liu's whereabouts. Liu's husband did not cooperate with the gang at first, but eventually, he took them to the place where they run a business. The gang attempted to arrest Liu Chunzhen who resisted the arrest and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to them. In the end, Liu was taken away and detained in a brainwashing center.
