Falun Dafa Practitioners Wu Shujie and Wang Fang from Mudanjiang City Died as a Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Wu Shujie and Ms. Wang Fang from Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province were tortured in the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center and Harbin City Women's Prison respectively, and died after they were released.

Ms. Wu Shujie, 47, lived in suburban Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province. She was tortured while detained in the Harbin City Drug Rehabilitation Center for two years. Her health deteriorated due to the torture and later she was found to suffer from lung cancer. She was sent home on January 2, 2004 and died on September 8, 2004.

Ms. Wang Fang lived in Hailin City, Mudanjiang Prefecture, Heilongjiang Province. She was first tortured in Harbin City Wanjia Labor Camp, and the labor camp only released her when she was close to death. While she was detained in the Mudanjiang City Detention Center, the Deputy Director slapped her in the mouth with a slipper. When she was held in the Hailin Detention Center, officer Shan Chengqiang asked her if she was still cultivating, and she answered that she could not do the exercises in prison, but she would continue to do so when she got home. Officer Shan then clamped a torture device called "hand sticks" on her hands, causing both hands to become immobile, swollen, and finally crippled. Such torture devices are only seen in the worst detention centers. Police also tried to starve her by not allowing her food for nine days, and beat the bottom of her feet. She was later transferred to the Harbin Women's Prison, where she underwent all sorts of cruel tortures. She was released after she had become extremely emaciated. Less than two months after returning home, on September 24, 2004, at 3 a.m., she passed away.
