Looking for Falun Dafa Books in China

(Clearwisdom.net) As a result of our inadequate study of the Fa (1), three of us Falun Dafa practitioners had once either succumbed to the persecution, stopped practicing or voluntarily relinquished Falun Dafa books and videotapes to the police. With benevolent hints from Master and the concern of fellow practitioners, we eventually returned to Falun Dafa. By then, however, there were very few Falun Dafa books to be found, so how would we study the Fa?

One day in 2003, a woman who was collecting recyclable trash came by the front of the building in which I lived to buy old books. I began talking to her and asked, "By the way, have you ever bought any 'Falun Dafa' books? If so, I'd like to buy them from you."

"Regrettably," she said, "I bought a bag of them last year and sold them as waste paper!" I felt that it was such a pity, but we three practitioners saw a bit of hope in that news. Consequently, we began to visit the waste collection stations, one by one.

When we visited the first waste collection station, we did not tell them exactly what we were looking for. As a result, we didn't find even one Falun Dafa book after searching through a very large pile of books. Learning from our experience, we then clarified the truth to the owners of the station when we visited the second one. They were very sympathetic and began to help look for Falun Dafa books for us. We visited a third, a fourth and even visited very distant waste collection stations to find Falun Dafa books.

On March 25, 2003, the people from one of the waste collection stations that we had visited first gave us a copy of The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa. Soon after, they gave us three copies of Zhuan Falun, one copy of Explaining the Content Falun Dafa, one copy of The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa and one copy of Lectures in the United States. Feeling that we had obtained the most precious thing, with tears in our eyes, we quickly dusted off the books. We were only too happy to express our feelings in words and paid the people from the waste collection station the amount they charged.

In the process of looking for books, we got to know an older man in his fifties from one of the waste collecting stations. He was the one who had helped us to find the first book of our search, The Great Consummation Way of Falun Dafa. He then found a lot more books for us. He did not skip even one of Master's articles or a book containing Master's name. We happily accepted them and kept all of the Falun Dafa books. Whenever the books were those that slandered Falun Dafa, we destroyed them. By this time, the owner of the waste collection station would also come over and help us look for the books when we visited his station. Searching through all of the bags, we found many books about Falun Dafa at this station.

Whenever we had time, we would return later to deliver truth-clarifying materials to owners of the waste collection stations, offering them more opportunities to learn the truth of Falun Dafa. We visited the waste collection stations one after another, regardless of the weather conditions. Altogether, we found one hundred and twenty one precious books. Among them were thirty copies of Zhuan Falun. We distributed all these books to new and veteran practitioners alike, making them all very happy.

We knew very well that it was Master who had brought the lost books back to us again. We must treasure the Falun Dafa books and Master's intention in bringing them to us. We should also treasure the path of Falun Dafa on which we were led. Let's always remember to do the three things (2) Master has asked of us, and walk the path of Fa-rectification well.

(2) The three things that Master Li asked practitioners to do are to study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, and clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution to all people.
