Clarifying the Truth at a Tourist Site in Thailand

(Clearwisdom.net) A great number of Chinese tourists came to Thailand during the Chinese National Day holiday from October 1 to October 7, 2004. Falun Gong practitioners in Thailand used this opportunity to clarify the truth to the precious Chinese people. Below are some highlights from this experience.

1. After a soldier from Kunming accepted the truth-clarification materials, practitioners explained to him that the "Tiananmen Self Immolation" incident was staged by Jiang Zemin in order to slander Falun Gong and incite hatred of Falun Gong among the general public, so as to suppress the peaceful practice. This man told us, "I believe that it was a fabricated case. I have a friend who committed suicide. He didn't practice Falun Gong, but the leaders in the army insisted that he did. I know ..."
2. When one tourist saw that the material distributed was about Falun Gong, he came back and asked our practitioner, "What else do you have? Please give me some more." When the practitioner showed him the full-sized magazine, "Witness," exposing the persecution crimes taking place in China, he gladly took it and told the practitioner, "I support you. I express my support for you." The other two tourists with him also took these materials. Another tourist saw the magazine in their hands and also came over to ask for it.
3. The poster boards with the contents and pictures explaining the topics, "Falun Dafa Spreads around the World," "Dafa Practitioners are Being Persecuted" and "Questionable Points about the Self-Immolation" attracted a lot of Chinese tourists. They all stared at the poster boards and carefully listened to the practitioners' explanation. When the practitioners told them that 36 western practitioners made great efforts to go to Tiananmen Square just to tell the Chinese people, "Falun Dafa is Good," and another practitioner, moved by their acts, composed a song called "Coming for You," the Chinese tourists asked us to sing the song for them. One practitioner compassionately sang the song, attracting more people who came by to listen. They earnestly listened to the song, and felt the sincerity in the Dafa practitioners' words, "Coming from far away, again and again, I came for you..."
