Houston: "Bring Jiang, Luo, Liu and Zhou to Justice" Banner Unfurled in Front of Chinese Consulate (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in Houston, Texas on the afternoon of October 23, 2004 to do group exercises and send forth righteous thoughts. Their banner, written in both Chinese and English, was bright and eye-catching. It read, "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice. Bring Luo Gan to Justice. Bring Liu Jing to Justice. Bring Zhou Yongkang to Justice.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Guo said, "This banner says what is from the bottom of our hearts. Our request to bring the chief perpetrators of the persecution of Falun Gong to justice shows that we are against the persecution instead of the government. These heartless perpetrators should be brought to justice and receive punishment. It is a heavenly law that wickedness meets with retribution."

Practitioner Ms. Zen said, "Jiang's faction has been persecuting Falun Gong for five years. More than one thousand Falun Gong practitioners have died from the persecution. Many more, including my mother and my sister, have suffered from all forms of persecution. My sister is still in jail. My family and I have benefited a lot from practicing Falun Gong. However, we are subjected to persecution just for following the principles of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.' I distribute flyers in front of the Chinese Consulate to tell people about the persecution and to tell them Falun Dafa is great. We expose the lies and false charges against Falun Gong by Jiang's regime and ask for the end of the persecution."

Another Falun Gong practitioner, Ms. Shen, said her whole family came to the Chinese Consulate almost every morning. They wanted their voice heard by the Chinese officials, because the Chinese Consulate is China's window to those in foreign countries.

The chief perpetrator of the persecution, Jiang, launched the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong out of his own jealousy. His personal will overrode the law in China. His followers, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang, have served as his major assistants in the persecution of Falun Gong in the past five years. Falun Gong practitioners have demonstrated their peacefulness and rationality by exposing and resisting the persecution. Falun Gong has been spread to more than sixty countries in the world and has won more than one thousand awards and recognitions. Jiang and his followers have been sued in many countries for their crimes committed in the persecution.

Background information on each of the perpetrators:

Jiang Zemin, Former President of China and Chair of the Central Military Committee, is the one who launched and personally directed the persecution of Falun Gong.

Luo Gan, Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Committee and Director of the Special Central Office Handling Falun Gong, is the direct implementer of Jiang's persecution policy.

Liu Jing, Associate Director of the Central "610 Office" and Deputy Minister of the Police Department, is the head of the persecution of Falun Gong. He directs local persecution activities around the nation.

Zhou Yongkang, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan Province and now Minister of the Police Department, gained his promotion by persecuting Falun Gong. His nickname is "Human Rights Killer."
