Sun Liqiang and Liu Lihua of Liaoyuan City Sentenced to Long Jail Terms, Young Child Left with Grandparents and Friends

(Clearwisdom.net) Sun Weizhe is an 11-year old boy who used to live on Xiangyang Street, in Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province. After his father Sun Liqiang and mother Liu Lihua were unconstitutionally sentenced, Sun Weizhe stayed with his maternal grandparents. Now his grandfather Mr. Liu, grandmother Li Chunrong and uncle Sun Lijun, who are all practitioners, have been forced to leave their home to avoid persecution, and Sun Weizhe is staying at a close family friend's house. Sun Liqiang, 34, started practicing Falun Gong in the spring of 1999. His wife Liu Lihua is 35 years old. She started practicing Falun Gong in the spring of 1998. Their child Sun Weizhe is now 11 years old. They lived on Xiangyang Street in Liaoyuan City. They used to work at the Liaoyuan City General Mechanic Factory before they were laid off. Twice they went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, and on both occasions they were unconstitutionally detained in Liaoyuan Detention Center for two months. In March of 2003, the police ransacked their temporary residence and arrested them. The police took away their copy machine and many materials clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. In May of 2002, they were sentenced to jail, Sun Liqiang for 13 years and Liu Lihua for12 years. Sun Liqiang is now imprisoned in Shiling Jail, and Liu Lihua in Changchun Women's Jail. Their child Sun Weizhe is being taken care of by friends of the family.
