Norway: People Wish to Help an Orphan of Falun Gong Practitioners Who is at Risk of being Tortured (Photos)
By a Norwegian practitioner
(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday the 16th of October, Norwegian Dafa
practitioners held an anti-torture exhibition in the capital of Norway to
introduce Falun Gong and demonstrate the exercises to people, as well as to
collect petition signatures to rescue the eighteen-year-old Liu Xiaotian. Xiaotian's parents were detained in 2002 for practising Falun Gong and
believing in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Since that day, this child
has led the life of a fugitive. This summer, Xiaotian found out that both his
parents were tortured to death five months after their imprisonment. At the moment, Xiaotian is applying for asylum in Denmark. The Danish
Government, however, has decided to send him back to China. If this happens,
Xiaotian will be in danger of being tortured, a similar fate to many Falun Gong
practitioners. This is especially the case since he has been participating in
anti-torture exhibitions in Scandinavia to let the public know about the
persecution against Falun Gong in China. Many Norwegian people believe that sending Xiaotian back to China is wrong. A
passer-by said it is against International Law if Xiaotian is sent back while
knowing that he will be at risk of being tortured. A lot of people signed a
petition form addressed to the Danish Foreign Minister. People queued up one
after another to sign and show their wish to bring an end to the persecution of
Falun Gong in China and rescue Xiaotian. One Danish person summed up the feelings of everyone, "The Danish
Minister of Asylees is publicly recognised as a kind-hearted and sympathetic
person, we hope that he can do something for Xiaotian, and also do something to
stop the persecution of Falun Gong." Source http://www.clearharmony.net/articles/200410/22760.html
