Taiwan: Introducing Falun Dafa at National Sun Yat-sen University's Welcome Party for New Students (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) National Sun Yat-sen University's Welcome Party for New Students was held on the night of September 15, 2004. Many university organizations went on stage to introduce themselves and give performances. The Falun Gong Club of the university gave a 6-minute introduction to Falun Gong with an exercise demonstration.

As the university has many international students, practitioners made some banners with English words such as, "Falun Dafa" and, "Ancient Practice for Mind & Body" printed on them. During the event, to help international student learn about Falun Dafa, we also used English banners during our performance.

The 6-minute introduction briefly yet effectively explained key issues such as, "What is Falun Gong," "The meaning of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and the ongoing brutal persecution of Falun Gong in Mainland China. We also told students that we have group practice on campus in the morning, at lunchtime and at night to make it easy for students to learn Falun Gong. When we finished our introduction and demonstration, the audience gave us generous applause.

Our Falun Gong club also had a booth along with the other student organizations. From the morning to the afternoon, we continuously talked to people about Dafa and the persecution. For those who had a misunderstanding of Falun Gong, we tried our best to explain the truth; for those who wanted more information, we provided them with more materials; for international students, we clarified the truth in English. Through this event, many new students have learned about Falun Dafa. We hope they will cherish Falun Dafa and that the seeds of Dafa will sprout in the near future.
