Falun Dafa Practitioner Guan Shujie Dies As A Result of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms Guan Shujie from Guangming Village, Xin-an Town, Hailin City, Mudanjiang Prefecture, Heilongjiang Province was 48 years old. In April 2002, she was reported for distributing Falun Dafa truth clarifying materials, and sentenced to labor camp. She was sent to the Harbin Drug Rehabilitation Center for persecution on April 29, 2002. She suffered two years of hardship at the Center that caused her both mental and physical damage. She was released on January 1, 2004 in poor condition, and died that September.

After she was released, Ms. Guan had difficulty breathing. She had a persistent cough and was diagnosed by the doctors in Mudanjiang City Railroad Hospital to have advanced lung cancer. The hospital refused to accept her as a patient for treatment, because they could do nothing for her at that late stage.

Upon entering the Drug Rehabilitation Center, her physical exam showed that she was perfectly healthy. While at the Center, she suffered continuous mental and physical torture. After she was released, she felt very sad to think about her fellow practitioners still being tortured for remaining firm in their beliefs.

Guan Shujie died on September 6, 2004, after enduring seven months of painful illness.
