(Clearwisdom.net) Starting in August 2004, Falun Gong practitioners from all over the world have come to Manhattan, the world financial center, to clarify the truth to New Yorkers, letting them know about Falun Gong and the brutal persecution happening in China.

In subway and train stations, thousands of people come and go every day. Practitioners set up a "Truth Corner" in one of the train stations with truth-clarification pictures and printed materials. Many touching stories can be told from events that have occurred here.

A rose to express appreciation

One morning, a practitioner from New Zealand was sorting through the truth-clarification materials on the table. Suddenly, a rose appeared in her eyes. She raised her head surprisingly and saw a young westerner was smiling at her.

The young man said he took the train yesterday and received a leaflet about Falun Gong. He read it and felt it was very good. He said he was searching for a meditation method to release stress and now he found it. So he gave a rose to the practitioner as thanks to all the practitioners here who introduced Falun Gong to the public.

A Teacher from Chinatown

One afternoon, not many people were waiting for the train in the railway station. One man was reading the display boards carefully. A practitioner approached him and began to chat with him.

Practitioner: "Sir, have you heard about Falun Gong--"

Man: "Yes. I have read your newspaper. My wife also wants to learn the exercises."

He then introduced himself. His name is Mike and he is an English teacher at a school near Chinatown. About one-third of the students in his school are Chinese Americans.

The practitioner told him that Jiang's regime persecuted Falun Gong not only in China but also used money to buy Chinese media oversea to spread lies slandering Falun Gong outside China. Many Chinese people living around the world have been poisoned by the lies and hatred of Falun Gong. Many Chinese children were influenced by their parents and also don't want to know the truth about Falun Gong.

Mike said he understood. He is about to assign homework for his students on the topic of "Falun Gong." He will request them to finish the research on Falun Gong independently and write a report.

Mike said that he wanted the students not only knew the truth about Falun Gong and the persecution but also convert their parents.

A Righteous Chinese

One day, a Chinese American man walked up to a practitioner and said, "You are doing the right thing. You should let more people know about the persecution. There are a lot of people on the platform. It would be better to distribute the newspapers there."

The practitioner told him that the railway station allowed them to use this place to distribute materials but they don't have permission to distribute newspapers on platform. They have to abide by the regulation.

The Chinese said, "So can I take a bunch of papers to the platform to distribute for you-- I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, so I don't have the restriction. I want to help you to distribute newspapers on the platform."
