Only With Strong Righteous Thoughts Can We Better Clarify the Truth

(Clearwisdom.net) Studying Master's new article, "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People" made me feel the urgency of offering salvation to human beings.

One time I told the truth about Falun Gong to lady on the bus who was holding a baby. When I started talking about Falun Gong, the lady replied without any hesitation, "I picked up a VCD and some other material, took them home and had my whole family watch, but I still have some questions." I patiently answered her questions one by one. My voice was loud and clear so that all the people on the bus could hear, helping them learn the truth as well. Finally she was satisfied and very happy. She told me that she certainly wanted to be a good person.

Another time I clarified the truth to a bicycle repairman, and a woman and her child were also present. When I brought up the topic of Falun Gong, they said that they read the material, but did not believe it. No matter how I tried to explain it to them they would not listen. Instead, they started to say some bad words, particularly the older bicycle repairman, so that I could not continue. Consequently I did not achieve the effect I had expected.

On my way home I thought about the two Fa-rectification experiences, and why I had different results. I had to really think based on the Fa. Master said,

" Validate the Fa with rationality, clarify the truth³ with wisdom, spread the Fa and save people with mercy--this is establishing the mighty virtue of an Enlightened Being . " ("Rationality," from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Master also said,

"If you are able to succeed in improving yourself this way, what you do then, with a pure heart, will be the best and most sacred ." ("Further Understanding," from Essentials for Further Advancement)

I could remember Master's articles, but was not able to clearly understand the meaning.

I found the reason for the different causes and effects in these two experiences. While on the bus, my heart and mind were pure and sensible, and my mind was peaceful, therefore the effect was good. In contrast, when I faced the repairman I was impatient and afraid someone might report me, or that some undercover officer might overhear what I said, which was not sensible, and I did not have strong righteous thoughts. How could I clarify the truth with that mentality? How could I receive a good response?

I realized that as a Dafa practitioner in the Fa-rectification period, I must make rigorous demands on myself to do things according to Master's teachings. I cannot entangle myself any longer. I will indeed study the Fa from the bottom of my heart.
