Taiwan: Mainland Brides Learn the Facts about Falun Gong (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of November 13, 2004, the Taoyuan County government held an activity for families with spouses from the Mainland and foreign countries, at Xizhou Park in Hsimen Reservoir. Falun Gong practitioners took the opportunity to demonstrate the exercises, display picture boards, and to present Falun Gong truth-clarification materials to help the Mainland brides to learn the true situation of Falun Gong.

Young children happily requested balloons from Falun Gong practitioners and read the words on the balloons: "Falun Dafa is Good." Mothers who came from China smiled and thanked practitioners for the materials. Most of them did not know much about Falun Gong, and through the practitioners' explanation, they gained a deeper understanding.

In a corner of the park, elderly people were taking a rest while carefully reading the Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. A couple who came from another city said that they had been searching for a good practice for mind and body. After listening to practitioners' explanation, the wife said that all the other practices they had tried charged money and she was impressed that Falun Gong was free of charge. They appreciated Falun Gong practitioners' selfless spirit, and left their email address with us so we could keep in touch.

People learning the facts about Falun Gong

A mother read about the tortures used on Falun Gong practitioners in China, and felt it incredible that this could be happening and condemned such acts. After listening to a practitioner's explanation, she expressed that she wanted to learn Falun Gong and she also wanted her child to learn. This mother appreciated Falun Gong's emphasis on cultivation of one's moral character.

Practitioners believe that once these Mainland brides learned about the true situation of Falun Gong in Taiwan and around the world, they would share this information with their friends and relatives on the Mainland. In this way, more people could learn the truth and pay attention to the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners.
