When Can Five-Year-Old Zhan Xuanhong Be Reunited with His Imprisoned Father, Mother, and Grandmother?

A boy named Zhan Xuanhong was born in November 1999. He lives in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. He has been separated from family members since he was a toddler due to the persecution of Falun Gong, and has suffered tremendously. When he was only two years old, he was deprived of his father's care. Later, he was deprived of his mother's, as well.

Xuanhong's father, Mr. Zhan Jianbin, is a law-abiding Chinese citizen. He is a Falun Dafa practitioner who used to work at the Jiangxi Province Power Design Institute. After the persecution of Falun Dafa began in China, Yan started distributing truth-clarification materials without fear. In December 2001, local "610 Office" agents arrested him in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. In July 2002, he was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment. Currently he is illegally detained at the Jiangxi Province Yuzhang Jail.

Xuanhong's mother, Ms. Zhu Yan, was born in 1976. At first, she could not comprehend why her kind-hearted husband had received such a heavy sentence. After she understood the truth about the persecution, she became a Falun Dafa practitioner. In April 2004, after downloading materials from the Internet, she was arrested in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province by local "610 Office" agents. Presently, she is being held at the Xinjian County Changling Detention Center. Zhu's case had been transferred to the Xihu District Court. Thus, her little son Xuanhong, who at the time was less than five years old, has been deprived of his mother.

Xuanhong's grandmother Li Lianying was born in 1940. She began practicing Falun Dafa in 1995. The authorities detained her many times because she is a practitioner. In mid-April 2004, after Ms. Li had been held for one month, the police station was about to release her. However, "610 Office" agents in the factory where she used to work reported her impending release to their superiors in order to stop the release. They tried to place her in long-term detention to reduce the pressure on the factory. On September 21, 2004, as ordered by the "610 Office" of Nanchang City, people from Nanchang Power Plant abducted Ms. Li again and took her to a brainwashing center operated by the city. They still have not released her.

Xuanhong is now fully dependant on his grandfather, who is nearly seventy years old. With tears in his eyes, the little boy has often asks his grandfather, "When can my Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma come back?"
