Promoting Falun Dafa to the Taian Community in Taichung County, Taiwan (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Taian is a community in Houli Township, Taichung County Taiwan. It has two villages, Taian and Gongguan, with a total of about 1,000 residents, and the folk customs are pure and simple. Considering that the opportunity to obtain the Fa is rare and precious, the practitioners decided to promote Dafa among villagers to let them know the truth about Falun Dafa and its health improvement benefits. The practitioners thought the Taian Elementary School would be a good place to start so they contacted the principle a few times, and clarified the truth and introduced Falun Dafa to him. The principle now understands that Falun Dafa is a good practice that teaches people to honest and kind, so he agreed.

Taichung County and Taichung City Falun Gong practitioners have a Shenyun Dance Group and a Tianyin Chorus. They spent much time rehearsing performances, and presented the beauty of Falun Dafa on stage to the villagers on June 26, 2004. Practitioner and medical doctor Ms. Lin Gui explained many profound theories using simple and understandable language. Her speech about cultivation experiences was interesting and humorous and won a lot of smiles and applause. Though the number of attendees was not as high as expected, many local government officials and important community leaders came, including the director of Houli Township, directors of two villages, the council leaders of two villages, the wife of the Taichung County Mayor, village head of Taian Village and village head of Gongguan Village, Principle of Taian Elementary School, and many community leaders from two villages. The attendees all have positive understandings of Falun Dafa.

Council Mr. Gao Jizhan said, "We have all heard about Falun Gong. In China, I heard that the persecution was Jiang's personal wrong decision. I have read some introductions and some news reports. In addition to Falun Gong's righteousness and health improvement effects, Falun Gong is also not involved in politics." "On October 11 last year, when I was in Japan, there happened to be a Falun Gong activity supporting some event. I rode a bike to look for them to see who they were but I didn't find them. After I came back to Taiwan, a Falun Gong practitioner brought me some materials to promote the Fa and clarify the truth to me. I believe this is a good practice."

Associate professor Lin Meihua said, "My understanding of Falun Gong was limited to what I saw on TV. Falun Gong is famous around the world. My student is a Falun Gong practitioner and invited me to the activity saying this will be good for my health. So I came by to take a look. Today, I experienced the solemnity and magnificence of Falun Gong."

Council executive Liu Mingyi said, "Actually, I can prove that Falun Gong is good from the health improvement of our accountant. Falun Gong is a very good cultivation exercise. Especially nowadays, without Falun Gong promoting social moral standards, I believe this society would have no hope. If everyone practices, it is a big benefit to individuals, families, society, and the country. Jiang's regime in China began persecuting Falun Gong in 1999. If it is not a good exercise, there wouldn't be over sixty countries embracing and confirming it. I believe there wouldn't be such numbers. I hope to set up an exercise site in Taian community. Today is a good beginning."

When the practitioners demonstrated the exercises, VIPs and villagers followed the movements, and they felt it was very good.
