Seventy-Year-Old Ms. Wang Yuefeng from Baishan City, Jilin Province Passes Away Due to Persecution
(Clearwisdom Net) Seventy-year-old Ms. Wang Yuefeng, a Falun Gong
practitioner who lived in Northeast Chalin Yard, Quanyang Forest Department,
Baishan City, Jilin Province, was forced to become homeless due to persecution.
She passed away on July 16, 2004. Wang Yuefeng began to practice Falun Gong in January 1998. In October 1998,
Gong Shishun, the chief of the political security section at Quanyang Forestry
Department, along with the police from the Northeast Chalin Yard Station, came
to search her house and confiscated her Falun Gong books and audiotapes. Ms.
Wang tried to get her belongings back through an appeal to the Department of
Forestry, but was rejected. After July 20, 1999, the political section chief and
the police station chief came to harass her on different occasions. Her husband
Chen Jungong, a seventy-eight year-old Falun Gong practitioner, was also
seriously harassed and, as a result, passed away several months later. Officials from the Political Section and the police station came to pressure
Ms. Wang soon after her husband's death, illegally searching her house every
other day. She was forced to leave home and passed away on July 16, 2004.
