Indonesia: "Uncompromising Courage" Art Exhibit Causes Sensation in Jakarta's Chinatown (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From November 26-28, 2004, a three-day art exhibit entitled "Uncompromising Courage," was held in a hall on the second floor of a building in Jakarta's Chinatown in Indonesia. The whole event went smoothly.

Visitors, old and young, men and women

Thirty-five paintings were arranged on the walls, grouped according to the following four themes: Heaven and Humanity in Harmonious Unity, Unnamed Tribulations, Uncompromising Courage and the Righteous Will Surely Triumph. The artistic skills displayed in the paintings were appealing and imaginative, attracting many people to come to enjoy them. Most of the visitors were Chinese. Falun Gong practitioners patiently explained the facts about Falun Gong to the audience. People showed great interest in the art exhibit, as they had never seen such an exhibit before.

The "Unnamed Tribulations" and "Uncompromising Courage" sections vividly reproduced the brutal persecution inflicted upon Falun Gong practitioners in China. People's conscience was shaken. A woman covered her eyes and could not bear to take one more look at the torture scenes portrayed in the paintings. Some visitors commented, "Jiang Zemin's brutal persecution of innocent people has been totally inhuman." Another elderly person said, "China has been used to brutality for so long, so the whole world reacts to it and condemns it." Another man murmured, "Jiang Zemin has committed crimes that are too huge... he should be held accountable. Even in Hell, he should endure all kinds of suffering; he can't evade his responsibilities."

Several visitors, who were prejudiced against Falun Gong because they believed Jiang's faction's lies and propaganda, had the false conception that Falun Gong practitioners oppose the Chinese government. Practitioners maintained righteous thoughts, and patiently and peacefully explained to them the facts about Falun Gong, and told them that Falun Gong is innocent. They explained that except for Mainland China, no other country in the world forbids people from practicing Falun Gong. Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong is wrong, so practitioners around the world are calling for an immediate end to the persecution, and demand that Jiang and his followers be brought to justice. When the visitors learned the truth, they expressed that they would tell their friends and relatives about all of this.

During the art exhibit, two young practitioners in golden exercise suits demonstrated the five sets of exercises to the beautiful exercise music. Many visitors requested information about local practice sites and wanted to learn the exercises.

The "Uncompromising Courage" Art Exhibit had been held previously in Jakarta from September 29-October 3. Falun Gong practitioners prepared to continue holding the exhibit in other Chinese communities so that more people can learn the truth, and be free from Jiang's lies and slander. At the same time, the practitioners wish to awaken the conscience of more and more people, stop the persecution and bring Jiang and his accomplices to justice.
