Texas: Dallas Area Practitioners Take Part in Christmas Parades in Three Cities (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Another Christmas is approaching, and the holiday
atmosphere is everywhere. Many cities in the Dallas area organized grand
Christmas parades to celebrate this important traditional holiday. Last week,
Falun Gong practitioners in the Dallas area participated in three parades in
three cities. They shared their happiness with local residents and displayed the
beauty of Falun Dafa to them. In every city, the blue banner imprinted with the words, "Falun Dafa,"
the golden yellow exercise suits, and the women dressed in elegant Tang Dynasty
costumes always stood out. On December 4, 2004, the City of Richardson held its 33rd
Christmas Parade on Coit Boulevard. Over 130 groups participated and many people
waited along the street a long time before the parade started. The Falun Gong
group received a warm welcome and the practitioners distributing flyers could
hardly keep up with the high demand. Almost every spectator wanted a flyer, and
the practitioners distributing them didn't want anyone to miss a chance to learn
the truth, so they fell far behind the procession. In the afternoon, the
organizers told the practitioners that they had won the first place in the Adult
Walking Team. The practitioners accepted the prize cup later that evening. Falun Gong participates in Richardson's Grand Parade That same evening, the practitioners drove one hour to Arlington to
participate in a Christmas Parade of Lights. The organizers still remembered the
Falun Gong performance from the parade last year. One of the organizers came to
the parking lot to welcome the Falun Gong practitioners, and thanked them for
coming again. Falun Gong participates in the Christmas Parade of Lights in

the City of Grapevine. The date was a weekday and the city is a long way away
from most of the practitioners. So when all the practitioners arrived, it was
nearly time to start. But the practitioners cooperated together and set up the
float in short order. Practitioner Ms. Yang said, "Every opportunity for
participating in a parade is precious to us. It's not just a simple activity.
Every time when I think about how so many people could receive the information
about Falun Dafa, learn about the persecution in China and the truth about Falun
Dafa, I know I must come no matter how scarce time is." Falun Gong participates in the Grapevine Christmas Parade of
Lights One woman practitioner said that she distributed flyers in two parades. There
were many spectators watching the parade and wanting the informational
materials, especially in Grapevine. (Note: The City of Grapevine's Parade of
Lights is the largest of its kind, with over one hundred groups participating.)
The residents were so happy to get the literature. Because there were not enough
practitioners to distribute the materials, many people walked over to the
practitioners to get a copy of the "Falun Dafa Reader."
