Gao Guoyuan and Yang Sulan, Falun Dafa Practitioners from Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, Die After Being Brutally Persecuted in 2002 and 2003

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Gao Guoyuan was fifty-five years old when he died. He lived at 205 Lianhe Street, Dadong district, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, and worked at the Shenyang construction machine factory. In October 1999, he appealed to China's central government in Beijing to end the persecution of Falun Dafa perpetrated by Jiang Zemin's regime. When Gao Guoyuan stepped forward to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa [a right guaranteed in the Chinese constitution], but the authorities detained him for fifteen days.

In November 1999, Gao Guoyuan was held at the Shenyang Beidaying Detention Center. He was subjected to brutal torture for one month that left him mentally traumatized. Afterward, he could not take care himself.

In November 2000, Gao Guoyuan was arrested and taken to the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp. There, he was tortured until his physical and mental health collapsed. He was released in April 2001, but he never regained his health, and he passed away in July 2002.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Sulan was sixty-five years old when she passed away. She lived in the Huanggu section of Shenyang City. She also was arrested and sent to the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp, where ten people tortured her. The guards did not allow her to sleep, and she was bombarded with lies about Falun Dafa. She was set free after 50 days of torture, and she passed away on June 1, 2003.
