Ms. Zhang Yunan from Changchun City, Jilin Province Died as a Result of Police Harassment in 2001

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhang Yunan, who was from Nongan County in Changchun City, became healthy from practicing Falun Dafa, but, since the persecution began in 1999, she had become fearful because of harassment from the police. She died as a result of the persecution on the 10^th of the first lunar month 2001.

Ms. Zhang Yunan, 67 years old, lived on Baota Street in Xiguan Village, the 6^th Group in Nongan County, Changchun City, Jilin Province. She began to practice Falun Dafa in 1996, and many of her diseases were cured. She was not ill for over three years. After July 20, 1999, her son went to Beijing many times to appeal. He was arrested, abducted, fined, and illegally detained in a labor camp for one year.

During this time, police and work unit leaders came to Ms. Zhang's home several times to harass her. Because of the long term mental torment and continued threats, she did not dare to practice Falun Gong. She died on the 10^th of the first lunar month in 2001.
