Ms. Wan Chuanlin, 33 years old, from Bishan County, Chongqing Municipality evaded arrest and persecution with righteous thoughts but was forced to become homeless. She has been living a difficult life over the past several years. On October 20, 2004, a county police officer arrested her on the bus to Bishan County. Ms. Wan went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest and was later sentenced to two years of forced labor. Now she is imprisoned at Maojiashan Women's Forced Labor Camp in the Jiangbei District, Chongqing Municipality.

In September 2004, police from the Gaocun Township Police Station arrested Ms. Shi Xiuhua of Erjia Village, Wendeng City, Weihai Prefecture in Shandong Province, and her house was ransacked. After Ms. Shi was detained for 15 days she was sentenced to two years of forced labor. However, the authorities failed to provide any evidence against her. Since Ms. Shi's arrest, no one is taking care of her paralyzed and senile 80-year-old mother.

On October 22, 2004, six Falun Dafa practitioners from Leshan City were arrested for clarifying the truth. They are Mr. Yang Kelin (50 years old) who worked at a cement plant, Ms. Li Shuzhen (60 years old) who is from Jiufeng Township and Ms. Wu Guihua (50 years old). The three of them are currently held at the Wutong Police Department. Ms. Li Suhua (over 60 years old) from Jiahua Cement Plant, Ms. Zeng Sufang (over 50 years old) and Wu Hongyan (more than 30 years old) are now imprisoned at Shizhushan Detention Center.

On October 26, another Falun Dafa practitioner, 66-year-old Mr. Li Xueqing of 585 Research Institute was arrested. He is now held at the Zhizhushan Detention Center.

On the morning of November 23, 2004, Meng Xianyun from Wushan Township of Songshan District, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia visited fellow practitioner Li Yuxia who was released from Tumuji Forced Labor Camp. Sadly to say, the head of the Xincheng District Police Station and his staff arrested Mr. Meng while he was visiting with Lijia. Meng Xianyun is now held at the Songchu District Detention Center.

Falun Dafa practitioners Liu Junhua, over 60 years old, a retired doctor from the Nanchong Petroleum Institute clinic, and Hu Jianying, a retired senior engineer from the Nanchong Science Research Institute, were arrested when clarifying the truth in Yuechi. As of this time, they are still detained at the Yuechi Detention Center.

Ma Yongyue from Heping Village, Baigutun Township in Wuqing District, Tianjin Municipality was arrested on the evening of November 27, 2004 while clarifying the truth. Her house was ransacked. On November 27, Ms. Ma was sent to the Wuqing District Detention Center and was detained for 30 days.

Ms. Wang Yuzhen from Xujia Village, Dianzi Township clarified the truth at the Pingdu City Bus Station, Shandong Province a week ago. Those who had learned the truth all asked for truth-clarification materials. After she handed out all the materials, three plainclothes policemen waved to her and asked her to come over. The minute she reached them they grabbed her and dragged her into a car. Now, Ms. Wang is imprisoned at Pingdu Detention Center.

Ms. Liu Su'e, about 50 years old, went to live at her mother's home at Gaping Township, Longhui County in Shaoyang City of Human Province in mid-November. She was arrested and held at the Longhui Detention Center after truth-clarification materials produced by her were discovered.

Ms. Wang Wenxia, about 37 years old, was arrested when she distributed truth-clarification materials in Anyang City, Henan Province during the SARS period in 2003. She was brutally tortured and interrogated. Ms. Wang refused to divulge where she got the materials. She was held at the Anyang City Detention Center for three months before she was sentenced to three years of forced labor. Then Ms. Wang was taken to Shibalihe Forced Labor Camp in Zhengzhou City.

Kindergarten teacher Ms. Fan Changhua of the machine factory of the Gezhouba Dam No. 5 Company in Yichang City, Hubei Province was arrested at her workplace and was taken to the Yichang City No. 1 Detention Center by Zhou Xiangdong, the head of the National Security Division of the Yiling Police Department and his staff. She was sentenced to two years and imprisoned at the No. 9 Division, Qilihu Women's Forced Labor Camp in Shayang City. Although, her term of forced labor had expired, Shayang Forced Labor Camp refused to release her, using the excuse that she wrote a statement expressing her firm determination to practice Falun Dafa. It is rumored that Ms. Fan Changhua is not in good health.

Mr. Luo Hongqin is a staff member of the Guang'an City Broadcasting Bureau in Sichuan Province. During the 2001 Chinese New Year, Mr. Luo went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was escorted back to the local police station. Mr. Luo was sentenced to two years of forced labor. In July 2002 after he returned from the forced labor camp, he was downgraded from a cashier's position to a janitor's position and his salary was reduced substantially. In January 2003, Mr. Luo Hongqin was arrested and taken to Huaying Brainwashing Center in Guang'an City. He was released in April of 2003. In July he was arrested again and taken to a brainwashing center. He was released one month later. In January 2004, Mr. Luo was taken to the brainwashing center for the fourth time and released on August 30. While he was at the brainwashing center his place of employment deducted 2,200 yuan from his monthly salary and turned the money over to the brainwashing center.

Mr. Liu Liqun, about 30 years old, from the Huawen Residential Area, Shijiazhuang City was forced to become homeless to avoid being arrested and persecuted. On the morning of November 11, Mr. Liu Liqun was arrested on his way to work. It is rumored that he is now detained at the Xingtai City No. One Detention Center.

At the beginning of 2004, his rented house was surrounded by the police from the Yuhua Police Department, Shijiazhuang City. To avoid arrest he climbed down from the third floor and lost his balance. As a result, he broke his legs and feet. The police only gave him a very brief treatment and then detained him at the Yuhua Police Department for more than 20 days. The police did not inform his family about his injury, which delayed treatment. Instead, the police tried to force Mr. Liu to give a confession. After being released, Mr. Liu was immobilized and bedridden. However, the Yuhua Police Department still sent policemen from the Sunjia Police Station to keep surveillance on his house daily. This caused great psychological pressure to his family. On November 11 when the policemen found that Mr. Liu had recovered, they arrested him again.

In October 2004, Luo Yi, Qie Jun and others from the National Security Division of Xichang City arrested Ms. Lu Yuancui and Ms. Guo Hongping. In November, the 610 Office sentenced them to forced labor. Ms. Lu Yuancui was sentenced to one year and three months and Ms. Guo Hongping to two years.

In November, Ms. Wang Xiaofang of No. 410 Factory was tricked into meeting with the City National Security Division, and she was then arrested. Later, the 610 Office sentenced her to one year and three months of forced labor. It was rumored that the City Legal Section planned to send Ms. Wang Xiaofang to a jail in another part of the country.

At present the three practitioners are researching legal procedures to appeal their sentencing. Ms. Lu Yuancui went on a hunger strike for 6 consecutive days and now her life is in great peril.

Dafa practitioners Yu Jinghe and Yin Bingqin, husband and wife, from Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province were arrested on November 22 by the local 610 Office and the Tongda Police Station. They were taken to a detention center where both went on a hunger strike in protest of their unlawful detention. When their lives were in danger, the police were afraid to take responsibility. They released the couple five days after they were arrested.

Now the head of the Tongda Police Station, Chen Yechun, the Political Instructor Xu Bin and policeman Qiu Li forced their landlord to evict Yu Jinghe and Yin Bingqin from their rented house with only one week's notice. It should be noted that the weather in Northeast China is extremely cold at this time and both practitioners are not in good health. This will put them in a very difficult situation. This act of driving people who have legal residence out of their homes seriously violates their basic rights, including the right of residence.

Around November 15, the Party Organization Department of Liaoning University conducted a survey to understand the real situation about the issue of Falun Gong. On the morning of November 18, Ms. Zhao Lijun went to Liaoning University to clarify the truth and was arrested by officers from the University Police Station. She was then taken to Shenyang Detention Center and was only released after her husband had been interrogated.

Recently, Shenzhen's provincial and local tax bureaus maliciously attacked Falun Gong during a number of meetings and condemned the former taxation official Lu Chaohui. They also talked to Falun Gong practitioners employed at their agencies in an attempt to brainwash them. Ms. Ye Xiaohong is a tax official of the No. 2 Section of the Nanshan Sub-bureau, Shenzheng National Taxation Bureau. Since October 2004, she had not been seen at work. It was disclosed by staff at the taxation office that Ye Xiaohong has been suspended from her duties for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa. She was forcibly taken to a brainwashing center. They threatened her with losing her job if she would not renounce her belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."

On November 21, 2004, Ms. Yang Jinfeng, Ms. Che Xia and Ms. Guo Xiuling from Chicheng County, Hebei Province were arrested by police while talking about the persecution of Falun Dafa to the residents of Laowanggou Village, Longguan Township, Chicheng County. They are still being detained.

Ms. Yang Jinfeng's 90-year-old mother-in-law is paralyzed and bedridden and now has no one to take care of her. There is also no one to take care of Ms. Chen Xia's two-year-old child. Ms. Guo Xiuling is a teacher at the Chicheng County No. 2 High School. Because she was arrested, there was no one teaching her class, which will graduate this year, for a week. Now, all three are suffering from mental and physical torture in the detention center. It is rumored that they are not in good health.

On September 23, 2004, the police from the Yuntang Police Station in Yuhu District, Xiangtang City arrested Mr. Ling Jia. He is imprisoned at the Sanjiaoping Detention Center.

Mr. Ling Jia was a teacher at the Xiangtan Manganese Mine High School. He was arrested and discharged from employment after he clarified the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Mr. Ling had to go on a job hunt. In 2002, he returned to Xiangtan and taught at Peiying High School (a private school). He clarified the truth about Falun Gong in class and one of the students told his parents. They reported him to the Yuntang Police, who went to the school to investigate the matter. Under pressure from the City 610 Office, as well as the City and Provincial Education Commission (if the school did not follow their instructions it might lose its high standing in education circles and would be publicly criticized.), the school turned in Mr. Ling and two other teachers (new practitioners). Now the Xiangtan City Procuratorate is preparing to sentence these three practitioners.

Mr. Lu Weidong from Hongkou District, Shanghai was arrested on November 28 while distributing truth-clarification CDs at the Gaojing Residential Area in Baoshan District.

Mr. Lu Weidong, 31 years old, began to practice Falun Gong in 1996. In December 1999, he was arrested while attending a group exercise in Huangpu Park and after posting bail, he was granted one year of freedom while awaiting trial. On January 18, 2001, Mr. Lu Wei went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to unfurl a banner supporting Falun Gong and was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. His term was extended for another ten months because he refused to renounce Falun Gong. In the forced labor camp Mr. Lu suffered under different torture methods. After he was released from the forced labor camp with righteous thoughts, Mr. Lu returned to Shanghai. The local 610 Office, the neighborhood committee and some other organizations harassed him and his family. On November 28, 2004 Mr. Lu was arrested again while handing out truth-clarification CDs at Gaojing Village, Baoshan District, Shanghai. His current whereabouts are unknown.

On November 23, 2004, police from Pingtan Township, Yuechi County, Guang'an City in Sichuan Province arrested Dafa practitioners Ms. Hu Jianying from Nanchong City, Sichuan Province (an employee of the Agricultural Sciences Institute) and Ms. Liu Junhua (a retired doctor of the Petroleum Institute). They are still held at the Yuechi County Detention Center.
