By a Falun Gong Practitioner in Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Duan Shiqiong lived in Chongqing City. She was illegally arrested in August 2002 by the Chengdu City police and held at the Chengdu City Detention Center. On June 19, 2003, the Jinniu District Court secretly sentenced her to seven years in prison. On August 11, she was sent to Bed 13 at the Outpatient Department, Qingyang District People's Hospital in Chengdu City, where she was brutally tortured. She died in the hospital on September 16 at the age of 34. Below is information regarding her surviving son Wang Jing.

Wang Jing was born in November 1998. His father Wang Zhihai is a Falun Gong practitioner, as was his mother Duan Shiqiong. He was seven months old when Jiang's faction started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999. The local police and "610 Office" personnel arrested, detained and tortured his parents, who consequently were unable to take care of him, so Wang Jing lived with his grandparents most of the time.

In 2000, Ms. Duan Shiqiong firmly refused to cooperate with the persecutors and was forced to leave home. She worked with other practitioners to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. In July 2001, Wang Jing's father Wang Zhihai was arrested by the Chengdu City 610 Office. He was sentenced to one-and-a half years in prison and was later sent to the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province for further persecution.

The Jiang regime's propaganda poisoned the minds of young Jing's friends. They frequently verbally attack and make fun of Wang Jing. He was forced to live in a depressed environment. However, Wang Jing remained to firm in his faith. Once when his aunt took him to Xinhua Forced Labor Camp to visit his father, the first thing Wang Jing said to his father was, "The Fa rectifies the cosmos; the evil is completely eliminated." [Falun Gong practitioners send forth this thought to eliminate evil in other dimensions] It was during the peak of the persecution.

In February 2003, Wang Zhihai returned home, and young Wang Jing happily reunited with his father. How his young heart longed to also see his mother!

On September 17, 2003, Wang Zhihai received a notice from Chengdu City Detention Center, telling him to take care of the dead body of his wife Duan Shiqiong. He was devastated. Duan Shiqiong was tortured to death at the age of 34 by perpetrators from the Chengdu City 610 Office, the Chengdu City Police Department and Chengdu City National Security Bureau for validating Dafa and clarifying the truth.

Wang Jing is now five years old. He is a kind-hearted and intelligent child and calls himself a young Dafa practitioner.

Ms. Duan Shiqiong worked for Chongqing Railroad Passenger Services and lived at No. 49 Yutie Village, Chongqing City. She began practicing Dafa in 1996 and was well liked by her colleagues and customers. Since the persecution began in 1999, she went to Beijing twice to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested many times and her home was ransacked. In December 2000, she went into exile. On August 29, 2002, perpetrators from Jinniu District Police Department in Chengdu City arrested her.
