Practitioner Ms. Chen Yuanmei from Hengyang City, Hunan Province Died as a Result of Persecution in 2002

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Yuanmei from Hengyang City, Human Province, was held in a drug rehabilitation center where she suffered extremely harsh mental and physical torture. She died in anguish in June 2002 after her release.

Ms. Chen Yuanmei was about 50 years old. She lived in Sizu, Huangzhou Village, Chashanao Township, Zhuhui District, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. She suffered from edema and couldn't do physical work. Her health was greatly improved after she began practicing Falun Dafa. The swelling of her body subsided, her physical strength was restored, and she was able to work.

In June 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal. The police arrested her and sent her back to her home township police detention center. She was detained for 15 days and fined 2,000 yuan. On January 19, 2001, the local Chashan police abducted her from her residence and sent her to the drug rehabilitation center in Hengyang City. She was severely tortured and released in March 2001. The physical and spiritual torment was so overwhelming that she never fully recovered and passed away in June 2002.
