Proclamation of North San Diego County Falun Dafa Week [February 15, 2004]


(Clearwisdom.net) On February 15, 2004, Mr. Claude A. "Bud" Lewis, Mayor of City of Carlsbad, California, on behalf of the City Council proclaimed February 15-21, 2004 as North San Diego County (Coast) Falun Dafa Week in the City of Carlsbad, and encourage all citizens to learn about this unique program and embrace its teachings.

North San Diego County (Coast) Falun Dafa Week
February 15-21, 2004

Whereas, a ceremony celebrating the first North San Diego County (Coast) Falun Dafa Week will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at the Carlsbad City Library; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is an advanced exercise and meditation practice system of mind and body based on ancient wisdom aimed at improving energy circulation and emphasizes the cultivation of moral character by following the universal principal of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance; and

Whereas, since its initial introduction to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in 1992, Falun Dafa is now practiced by over 100 million people in 60 countries worldwide; and its practitioners include many scientists, doctors, university professors, college students, business consultants, government officials, artists, farmers and factory workers; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa's powerful holistic approach to health has been documented by many reporters in the media, as well as scientific research; and an increasing number of Americans are learning the practice, including many residents of North San Diego County since its introduction here in 1999, who have benefited from the free demos, workshops, and classes that have been offered at a variety of locations.

Now, Therefore, I, Claude A. "Bud" Lewis, Mayor of City of Carlsbad, California, on behalf of the City Council do hereby proclaim February 15-21, 2004 as North San Diego County (Coast) Falun Dafa Week in the City of Carlsbad, and encourage all citizens to learn about this unique program and embrace its teachings.
