(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, several officials from Jitan City, Jiangsu Province have directly commanded a group of police to brutally suppress and persecute Dafa practitioners. These officials include Party Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee, Zhang Jianhua, the president of the municipal public security bureau, Gong Wenfei, and the director of the "610 Office" and the vice president of the municipal public security bureau, Cai Weiping. Successively, more than 40 Dafa practitioners were illegally sent to forced labor camp. Furthermore, two Dafa practitioners who produced Dafa truth-clarification materials were sentenced to 10 years and 8 years, respectively.

Of these leaders, Zhuang Yan and Li Da from the municipal education bureau acted as the coordinators of this brutal persecution. Among practitioners in the entire city who were illegally sentenced to forced labor education, half of them were from the education system. In the last several years, the authorities continuously carried out surveillance of Dafa practitioners in this city, and the brainwashing sessions were held non-stop. Since the beginning of last October, many Dafa practitioners were kidnapped to brainwashing classes. Dafa practitioner Xu Aihua has been sentenced to five years after she was detained for one month and refused to renounce Dafa. Dafa practitioner Wang Lanfang is still being detained. Yu Yaosheng and his younger sister broke out of detention with righteous thoughts after being held for eight days.

The persecutors in this city are still extremely rampant, which indicates that the practitioners still have omissions in forming one indestructible body. In particular, we have not done well in clarifying the truth to the general public. Below we have collected the names and telephone numbers of personnel from relevant departments responsible for the persecution. We appeal to Dafa practitioners in China and overseas to clarify the truth to them.
