[Beijing] Dafa Practitioner Chu Tong from Tsinghua University and Others are Being Held in a Beijing Detention Center

Dafa practitioners Chu Tong, Wang Weiyu, and Xu Zhiguang from Tsinghua University's practice site, together with Xie Hua from Beijing University of Physical Education practice site, are all detained at Beijing City's No.7 Police Facility (Beijing City's Detention Center). They are suffering severe mental torment and physical torture. A so-called "dedicated team" is in charge of this case because it is considered very important. They may secretly try and sentence these practitioners.

[Beijing] Death of Dafa Practitioner Wang Huipu as a Result of Torture

Sixty-two-year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Huipu lived on Xibahe Road in Chaoyang District. Since 1999, the enforcers of Jiang's unconstitutional orders had put her into brainwashing classes and detention centers three times. She suffered cruel torture, but never give up her belief in Dafa. She had also been monitored and harassed by personnel from the "610 Office"* for a long time, thus suffering severe mental and physical anguish. Ms.Wang Huipu passed away on November 9, 2003.

*610 Office: an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.

[Beijing] Dafa Practitioners Tan Shouli and Xu Jing are Sentenced to Long Term Imprisonment

Sixty-four-year-old Dafa practitioner Mr. Tan Shouli lives on Xinyuanxi Road in the Chaoyang District. In October 2000, he went to relevant department to appeal for Falun Gong, and was thus put into the Qincheng Prison. He staged a hunger strike for a long time, was cruelly tortured and sentenced to ten years imprisonment.

Practitioner Ms. Xu Jing is over 40 years old. She went to appeal together with Tan Shouli and was sentenced to five years imprisonment.

[Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Xu Qingfang Suffers Inhumane Torture in the Dabei Women's Prison

Ms. Xu Qingfang was a music teacher at Jinzhou City's No.2 Taihe School. In 2002, after being detained at Jinzhou City's No.1 Detention Center for eight months. In December 2002 they sentenced her to 5-1/2 years of imprisonment. She is being held at the Dabei Women's Prison and is now suffering unimaginable torment.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Abduction of Five Dafa Practitioners

On January 9, 2004, officers from the Dongli Police Department and the Liming Police Precinct went to the Pinggong residential area in the Nangang District. They abducted Dafa practitioner Ms. Chu Xiuhe who is now being detained at Harbin City's No.2 Detention Center. Policemen are stalking her home.

On the same day, a practitioner by the last name of Zhou who at No. 125 Bile Street, Nangang District was also abducted.

Guan Guoxiang, Administrative Committee head for Xingye Village, Yongsheng Township discovered two Dafa practitioners distributing truth-clarifying materials in Xingye Village. He called the police station in Yongsheng Township, Shuangcheng City, and had the practitioners arrested.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Guiqin lives on Yiman Street, Nangang District, Harbin City. On December 31, 2003, police from the Provincial Police Department abducted her from home and confiscated some Dafa materials.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Arrest of Dafa Practitioners He Jianmin and Qu Sumin

At the end of December, officers from Harbin City's Daowai Police Precinct arrested practitioner Mr. He Jianmin from his home and Ms. Qu Sumin from her work unit. The police also ransacked the practitioners' homes. Right now, practitioner He Jianmin is detained at the Waidao Detention Center and Qu Sumin is detained at Harbin City's Detention Center. Both practitioners are employees from the Harbin City Pharmacy Company.

[Beijing] Forced Labor Sentence for Practitioners Wang Shuhua, Zhang Yulan and Zhang Shurong

In November 2003, personnel from the National Security Section, Miyun County Police Department held practitioner Ms. Wang Shuhua from Miyun County captive in a detention center for a month. In late December, after Ms. Wang's term was over, according to law the security section had to release her. However, no one knew where Ms. Wang Shuhua had temporarily been sent. Soon she was sent back to the detention center and has still not been released. Jiang's followers did not abide by the law but broke it once again.

Around October 2003, officers from Miyun County's Police Department arrested over a dozen practitioners. Some practitioners were sentenced to two years of forced labor, including Ms. Zhang Yulan and Ms. Zhang Shurong. Others were sentenced to forced labor twice, including Zhang Shurong and Mr. Ma Geng. Zhang Yulan was arrested when she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. On December 2, 2003, policemen from Miyun County's Police Department sent her and Ms. Zhang Shurong to a forced labor camp.

[Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Arrest of Practitioners Zhang Xin and Guo Danxia

Practitioner Zhang Xin, 25 years old, had to live away from home to avoid persecution. But in November 2003 he was found, arrested and sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.

In November 2003, practitioner Ms. Guo Danxia was arrested when she was distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials. She has not been released so far and is now on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

On July 25, 1999, a wretch named Kuang Minggai reported Dafa practitioner Mr. Fan Haidong to police. That same night, agents from Chenghua District's Police Department in Chengdu City confiscated Fan's computer, which so far has not been returned. On December 5, 1999 he went to Beijing to appeal, but personnel from the local police precinct escorted him back and then put him into Chengdu City's Drug Rehabilitation Center. He was detained there for two days. Later he was transferred to Jiuru Village for 15 days of detentions. They released him, but after several days they sent him back to Jiuru Village for another 15 days' detention because he was determined to practice cultivation.

After his second detention term had expired, police extended it by another 17 days. The police precinct officials tried to send him to a forced labor camp but were unsuccessful. Going back and forth like this, he has been detained for a total of 11 times, altogether for 158 days.

On March 1, 2001, he was sent to a brainwashing class in the Chenghua District against his will. Because he went on a hunger strike, they sentenced him to two years of forced labor. After this two year forced labor sentence had been served, his term was again extended, this time by 48 days. On May 1, 2003, policemen got him from Mianyang City's Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Sichuan Province and sent him to Chengdu City's Detention Center in Pi County because he still insisted on cultivation practice. On May 30, police transferred him to the Xinjin Brainwashing Class. He has been detained there ever since.

Dafa practitioner Qian Jinrong, from Linkou City, Heilongjiang Province, works in Hulin City. On January 14, 2004, his neighbor saw some people with unknown status arrest him. Now his whereabouts are unknown.

Wang Shudong, a teacher from Jinzhou City's Sports School, lives at No.3-45 of East Jiefang Road, Linghe District, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. He benefits much from Falun Dafa practice. For refusing to give up his belief, he was sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on August 8 for two years' detention. He was assigned to the No.1 Team in the No.3 Division. Because he still didn't give up his belief. His term was extended by three months. His family had frequently tried to see him, but policemen forbade a visit. His family worries about him.

[Jilin City, Jilin Province] Dafa Practitioner Shan Juanfeng Taken Away by Officials from "610 Office"

Dafa practitioner Ms. Shan Juanfeng, 56 years old, lived in Jilin City. On September 16, 2003, Jilin City's "610 Office" agents arrested her from her home. She was sent to Jilin City's Detention Center.

Her daughter went to the police department and asked for her mother. She went for two days and clarified the truth to the police. The police not only refused to listen, but also tried to detain her as well. Because she held powerful righteous thoughts and behaved nobly, the police's scheme failed. The police said, "Stop talking to us! You can talk about Falun Gong in the future." Later, Shan Juanfeng's family hired a lawyer to seek justice. The lawyer charged the family 3,250 Yuan and told Shan Juanfeng to write the "guarantee statement," which was required by "610 Office." Shan's family sternly told the lawyer, "Do you know why we hired you? We hired you to uphold justice and to defend Shan Juanfeng. What are you trying to do? We don't want you anymore." But the lawyer said, "I have your money in my pocket. If you don't want me, I still have to charge you 1,000 Yuan." Even now, the 3,250 Yuan is still in the unethical lawyer's pocket.

In late December 2003, "110" Department police officers beat and arrested Dafa practitioners Xin Shuhua and Li Chunhua when they were distributing truth clarification materials in Hanchen District, Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province. They are currently being held at Liaoyang City's Detention Center.

On visitation day at Harbin City's Female Prison, when the Dafa practitioners' family members go there to visit, determined practitioners can meet with their family only if they say "report;" otherwise, the warden will deny the legally sanctioned visit. I have seen two Dafa practitioners being denied their right to meet with their families. In the first instance, a practitioner's younger sister went to the prison from hundreds of miles away. She had obtained prior, authorized and approved permission to meet her sister. In the second case, a son went to see his mother after years of separation. She has become homeless to avoid the persecution but was discovered and sentenced to prison.

Recently, Dafa practitioners in Jianyang City posted large quantities of truth-clarifying flyers at the local police department and surrounding areas, which shocked the central "610 Office." The perpetrators are devoting their energy to investigating this matter. They started to torment Dafa practitioners, using this event as an excuse.

I read an article online recently saying the Chenghua District Court in Chengdu City is going to try Dafa practitioners. That prompted us to send forth righteous thoughts toward the Chenghua District and take corresponding actions, but the court tried more than 20 practitioners 15 days before the planned date. One of the practitioners is in his 70s. This person had worked at Sichuan University.
