Doing the Three Things Well during the Final Phase of the Les Presses Chinoises Defamation Case (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net, February 27, 2004) Minghui Correspondent Zheng Ziyan: The Les Presses Chinoises defamation case entered its final stage of judgment and attorneys for both side delivered their closing arguments. Through sharing experiences and understandings, practitioners, whether involved in this lawsuit or not, consider that this is an opportunity to validate Dafa and clarify the facts in the Fa-rectification period. It is an opportunity to stop the extension of the persecution overseas. It is also an opportunity to apply legal measures to expose the lies that serve as the foundation of the vicious persecution so as to save sentient beings. Therefore, practitioners make good use of this lawsuit to try their best to do the three things well (study the Fa, send righteous thoughts, clarify the truth).

Some practitioners from Toronto arrived in Montreal two days before the final court session started. In Chinatown and the neighborhood around the court, practitioners held group exercises, distributed flyers and sent forth righteous thoughts to clear away the evil factors in other dimensions on top of each hour. Before and after the court session started, practitioners from Toronto, Ottawa and some areas in the U.S also came to Montreal in succession. They appeared in court to send forth righteous and at the same time, they made good use of time to study the Fa and share understandings. In the morning, evening and during the court break, they practiced Falun Gong exercises in Chinatown or in the close vicinity of the court. A powerful field of righteous thoughts was formed.

Along with practitioners' constant experience sharing based on the Fa, sending forth righteous thoughts and clarifying the facts, the plaintiffs' attorney's understanding became better and better. Through practitioners' more-than-two-year communications with the attorney and explaining the facts to him, the attorney has come to understand Dafa more and more deeply. A few days before he appeared in the court to give the closing argument, he had a very deep discussion with practitioners. Their topics touched upon the future of human beings, the future of the cosmos, the consummation of Dafa disciples, and the relationship between Dafa disciples and worldly people. The discussion laid a solid foundation for him to represent Dafa practitioners to give an overall truth-clarification in court.

Practitioners came to realize that having a thorough discussion with our attorney is in fact an issue of our cultivation in the period of Fa rectification. It is because we practitioners as a whole have an evident improvement in understanding the related principles of the Fa though constant experience sharing and Fa study that the power of the Fa is manifested in our attorney. In fact, our attorney's two-day speech in the court was precise and clear. Through recounting the vicious slanderous and hate propaganda involved in this case, our attorney perfectly explained to the court the overall persecution and the support from the international community. What was more remarkable was that he presented to the court very well the beauty of Dafa that was manifested by Dafa disciples through their cultivation and further explained the impact of Dafa in society and even the future of human kind. The court thus became a place to expose the evil and to clarify the facts.

Our attorney said that because of his preparation of the closing arguments, he had very little rest everyday, but he felt extraordinarily energetic in the court and he felt the strong energy field from the Dafa disciples. He expressed his gratitude to Dafa practitioners, for many of them were able to overcome all kinds of difficulties from work, study and living to attend such a long court session.

Practitioners came to understand that Dafa practitioners' thoughts determine the performances of the attorney and of the judge. As Dafa disciples, we just follow the requirement of the Fa, try our best to do well the three things, so as to turn the persecution of Dafa practitioners into good opportunities to expose the evil and clarify the facts, and to fulfill our prehistoric vows.
