In October 2001, a large group of Falun Dafa practitioners went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal. More than a dozen of the practitioners from Nanyang City, Henan Province were sent back to the local detention center. As they entered the jail, all of the handcuffs on them simultaneously fell off. The police and prisoners were shocked to see this.
They saw with their own eyes the miraculous power of Dafa, and no one would dare to cause trouble for the practitioners after that. The practitioners were released unconditionally after ten days. When they exchanged experiences later, they realized that if they had had firmer righteous thoughts at the time they entered the jail, they would not have been jailed for those ten days.
