(Clearwisdom.net) On February 25, 2004, Congressman Tim Johnson from South Dakota wrote a letter to Chinese Ambassador Yang Jiechi of the Chinese Embassy in the U.S. about China's imprisonment of the cousin of a resident in his district. He expressed his concern and asked Yang to investigate this case.

Congressman Johnson said in his letter that Ms. Jiao Hongmei contacted him about the plight of her sister in Datong, Shanxi Province. Her sister was arrested and imprisoned for practicing Falun Gong. He hoped that Ambassador Yang would contact local law departments and investigate this incident.

Congressman Johnson attached a detailed list of items taken away during the police's illegal ransacking of Yang Shulan's home on February 13, 2004. The list was provided by Ms. Jiao.
