Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Liu Wenying from Hengyang City, Hunan Province Passes Away from Illness After Being Denied the Right to Practice

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Liu Wenying, in her 70s, had worked for the Hengyang Non-Ferrous Metallurgy Equipment Factory in Hunan Province. She regained her health after she began practicing Falun Gong. She was persecuted when she went to Beijing to appeal and suffered a relapse of her old illnesses. She passed away in the summer 2002.

Liu Wenying began practicing Falun Gong in 1995. Before that she had hepatitis, stomach problems and arthritis, among other diseases. She recovered after she practiced Falun Gong. The persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, and Liu Wenying went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in April 2000. Police officers from the security division of the factory where she worked arrested her. The factory authorities fined her and withheld her salary. They also forced her to write a "guarantee statement."^[1] Liu Wenying suffered tremendously from the persecution and did not have a normal environment to practice Falun Gong. She suffered a liver disease relapse and passed away in the summer of 2002.

[1] "Guarantee Statement" implies a document the practitioners signs where s/he promises never again to study/practice Falun Dafa, will no longer associate with other Dafa practitioners, will not go to Beijing to appeal and will divulge names and addresses pf other practitioners.
