Solemn Declaration

In November 2000 my mother was abducted and taken to a brainwashing center. I wrote a "guarantee statement" (to give up Dafa practice) for her. Now I declare that it is null and void. I know I was wrong, and from the bottom of my heart, I know that "Falun Dafa is good." I will compensate for the blemish I caused to Dafa.

My father was sentenced to two years of forced labor for practicing Falun Dafa. He has been transferred to four different labor camps and wasn't released from the last labor camp until two months after his term was over. Personnel from the neighborhood "610 Office"(1) intimidated my father, saying that if he did not write a "repentance statement," he would be sent to a brainwashing center or be fined 2,000 yuan (2). My father had to move to other cities and became homeless in order to avoid being arrested. The "610 Office" enforcer found me, wanted me to "sponsor" him and forced me to write the "repentance statement" for my father. She pulled out a sample of "five statements" written by another Falun Dafa practitioner and told me, "All you need to do is just copy it." Seeing that I didn't want to do that she said, "We are doing this as a matter of routine, just to deal with our boss' inspection. If you don't write it, we will have to search for your Dad and take him back." I thought, "My father won't find out anyhow; besides, I am not a practitioner, what does it hurt to copy those words others have written?" My father found out about it later and explain many principles to me. To compensate for the blemish I made on Dafa, I am now declaring that the several pages of "repentance statements" that I had copied for my father are null and void.

I am an elementary school student. I have unknowingly made a big mistake. In December 2003, the principal at my school launched a signature campaign [against Dafa] and forced every student to sign it. Now I solemnly declare that all the signatures I have written are null and void. From now on, I will closely keep up with the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance" and strengthen my faith in the realization that Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa! I will do my best to compensate for the blemish I put on Dafa.

On June 18, 2003, someone reported my wife for distributing Falun Dafa truth clarification materials. A group of police officers came to our home, arrested her and sent her to a detention center. They detained her there for nearly a month. The police beat her savagely. She staged a hunger strike for 20 days. Fearing she would be tortured to death I tried all channels, spent lots of money and bailed my wife out from the police department. Because I was so eager to save my wife, I wrote something bad against Teacher without considering the consequences. Today I solemnly declare that all the things that I have said and done under the diabolic persecution in an evil brainwashing center that are not in accordance with Dafa are null and void. I will redouble my efforts to compensate for the blemish I have caused, and firmly support my wife to cultivate in Falun Dafa!

I am not a Dafa practitioner, but I know Dafa is good! From the example of my elder sister's improved health and her behavior, I deeply felt the power of Falun Dafa. But because Jiang's regime is fiendishly persecuting Dafa and Dafa practitioners, enforcers from the "610 Office" and from the National Security Branch attempted to force my sister to write the "four statements,"(3) threatening that they would send her to a brainwashing center. My sister refused. To keep my sister from being persecuted, I wrote the "four statements" for her. Now I'm declaring that everything I have written is null and void. From now on I will redouble my efforts to compensate for the blemish I have made on Dafa.

My parents are both Falun Gong practitioners. Since July 20, 1999, perpetrators from the "610 Office," the Political and Security Section of the police department and the police station in our county have frequently come to our home to harass us and arrest my parents. They have unreasonably arrested my parents several times and detained them for several months. They persecuted them in other ways and did not release them until we paid "fines." My parents had to escape from home and become homeless in order to avoid these unconstitutional arrests. The police even came to my workplace to ask me for my parents' whereabouts. Because of the police's threats and intimidation, I wrote the statement called "No Appeal, No Contact and No Clarifying the Truth" for my parents. Now I have realized the harm I have done and the severe consequences of writing such "statements," even for others, because my parents have been trying to be good people. I have cooperated with evildoers and sold out my conscience. I am now declaring that the statement I have written is null and void. I will redouble my efforts to compensate for the damage I have caused.

I am a middle school student. Prior to 1999 I had attended Dafa group studies with my mother and studied Zhuan Falun. During the early stage of the persecution of Falun Dafa by Jiang's regime, I signed my name to a signature campaign at my elementary school because I did not truly understand Falun Dafa. My mother is a Falun Dafa practitioner, and I know that Falun Dafa is great and sacred. Now I realize that it was wrong to sign my name and it was against my conscience to do so. I solemnly declare that signature to be null and void.

(3) The "Four Statements" implies that the writer guarantees that the practitioner is remorseful for ever having practiced Falun Dafa, will not do so in the future, will not go to Beijing to appeal, and will also no longer associate with other Dafa practitioners and will reveal their names and addresses.
