Solemn Statement of Dafa Practitioners

I obtained Dafa in May 1996 and have benefited very much ever since. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, I was targeted as a key object by the local police station for persecution and was taken to a brainwashing class. Because of my fundamental attachment to human notions and the great pressures I suffered there, I said some words against Dafa. After that, they took all methods to force me to completely give up my cultivation in Dafa. While persecuting me, they also pressed my husband, a policeman, in many ways including threatening and frightening him. On the so-called sensitive days, he was forced not to go to work so that he could monitor me at home. On a sensitive day in July 2002, the head of his police department informed him that he would be sentenced to forced labor. Hearing this, he could not bear the shock and finally died from a heart attack because of the great sufferings from the long-term high mental pressures and the physical persecution against him. Nonetheless, they continued their persecution of me and my only child even after the death of my husband. In February 2002 I was arrested by plainclothes policemen and was secretly sent to a forced labor camp. After the frequent persecution I suffered, I started to look inside myself step by step and as a result got a real understanding of the seriousness of true cultivation. As a cultivator, if I do not have a righteous attitude toward cultivation, I will give evil excuses to aggravate the persecution of me and will consequently bring losses to Dafa and suffering to my relatives and friends. Looking back at my cultivation in the past few years, I found that I didn't have a profound understanding of the Fa, or righteous cultivation in the Fa. When I was persecuted by the evil, I treated it with the concepts of everyday people instead of the righteous thoughts of a cultivator, which, together with the mind of being afraid, led to my submitting under pressure. I did what a Dafa practitioner should not do and I feel very sorry to Dafa and Teacher. It is a shameful part in my road of cultivation. Teacher treats all sentient beings with the greatest compassion. He is still giving us the chance to come back and inspires us to get up from setbacks and continue to go forward in our cultivation. Is there any reason that I could still acknowledge the arrangements of the old forces now that Teacher has told us to completely negate their arrangements and persecution of us? For these reasons, I hereby solemnly declare all of what I said, wrote and did that is inconsistent with Dafa in the brainwashing classes as void. I will from now on completely break with the arrangements of the old forces and, with my commitment to Teacher and Dafa, I will be steadfast to my cultivation, take efforts to make progress on my cultivation road arranged by Teacher and redouble my efforts to make up for the loss I caused Dafa.

I obtained Dafa in 1998. After July 20, 1999, the Dafa cultivation environment was destroyed. For that time I didn't have a good understanding of Dafa and took a "wait-and-see" attitude for the situation to take a favorable turn. Half a year later, starting January 2000, I restarted making progresses in my cultivation of Dafa with the help of veteran practitioners. In the persecutions that followed, I signed for the evil five times promising to give up Dafa cultivation, which obviously originated from my shallowness in studying the Fa and my poor perception of the seriousness of Dafa cultivation. Teacher said:

"Don't acknowledge the old forces' arrangements, and negate this entire persecution they arranged."

"And those who haven't done well, the bottom line is, aren't you acknowledging the old forces' arrangements? Once you acknowledge them isn't it like you're one of them? Because you haven't done well amidst the persecution it's caused instability among the practitioners and aggravated the persecution, so aren't you, too, adding fuel to the fire and helping the evil? Negate them, completely negate everything of the old forces!"

I got to know from these sentences that I had been wrong to sign such things. In doing that I was caught by the arrangements of the old forces, which I should have completely negated. I hereby solemnly declare all the above-mentioned signatures of mine as void. From now on I will be strict with myself in regarding the Fa as the teacher, making righteous progress step by step in my cultivation and redoubling my efforts to make up for the losses I caused Dafa.
